    A friend and I both recently started playing WGT and we are enjoying it, but I am curious about 1 issue. He received an upgraded driver and I did not although we have both done and played pretty much the same things from the start. Can anyone explain this?

    Your friend would have been invited to join WGT by somebody else and was subsequently given an upgraded driver for accepting the invite. If you just went to the WGT site and joined without an invite, you would not have received an upgrade.

    Did he invite someone new to the game?  I seem to recall a bonus being offered for either inviting or being invited as a new member.

    Like Wheels said, if you received an email invite to the game from your friend via WGT then he may have received the driver for doing that. (or not as the case may be...)

    Claybor,  It's probably down to the fact that your friend took up the optional free training upon registering.  If so, he'd have received the black Distance driver and a sleeve of 100 credit Level 1 starter balls that come with a slowish meter.

     Doubtless he will be able to confirm this.

    and who would that be cause u started 2 years ago the only friends u have started this year???????
