End of April Updates

  What do you guys think of the new updates so far?

  What I've seen:

  -New tiered free brackets.

  -New  free 'speed' brackets; each round takes 30 minutes. From start to finish, the entire bracket all the way to the finale should take around 2 hours.

  -All brackets are now anonymous; can't see players names while entering.

  -RG's NOW 3 HOURS! --Update: It says 3 hours before entering, but the actual time seems to be roughly 8 hours to submit the round. Still much shorter than 24.

  -When you try to play a ranked game, the couse conditions are shown and aren't 'random'. Still unchangeable, however.

  -New 'celebration sounds' icon under audio in the options. Those 'claps from hell' can now be turned off!!

  -New Callaway XHot2 Woods (levels 33 and 73) and Hybrids (levels 34 and 74).

  -New free USGA men and women avatars.

  -You are able to play Pinehurst: Go to homepage, WGT community, then golf courses. Pinehurst is there, but you can only play each hole individually.

  These are the updates I've noticed so far, but may have missed some.

         Updated a few things. I must say you can shoot low at Pinehurst if everything is working for you. The fairways are not too hard, but if you get out of position it can be tricky. Some of the greens have very interesting slopes and you must hit them at the correct spot. Otherwise you'd be left shortsided or having to hit uphill to the hole. You can only play from the shorter tees for now until the full 18 mode is unlocked and ranked, but it seems to be that three-quarters of my approach shots were with wedges.

           It's a par 70-- 35 on both the front and back. The 4th and 10th are par 5's, and 6, 9, 15, and 17 are par 3's. Everything else is par 4's. The 3rd hole is my favorite from the standard tees they gave. I needed to hit a full driver to reach this driveable green with an inviting hole position. I managed to ding it and leave a 12-foot eagle which I ended up missing. If your drive is a little off, you can be in trouble with the trap hugging the left side of the green.

  I think I would rather have gotten a 'turn off the dumbphuq caddy' function instead though I think that would require a lot more programming changes than the Celebrations Sounds slider.

  I think once you see Champ greens on Pinehurst you will say differently. Approaches will be rolling off greens on some holes from 2 yards away from the pin. 

  Standard greens do it no justice.

  Neither do hack tees, from which we play when we do it in "single hole" mode.

  The qualifier is up and running, so you can play the full course if you wish.

  Thanks about that, this must've just been released within hours! I'll definitely check it out. But yeah I agree, it is a world of difference from the easiest of conditions to one of the hardest conditions. I've seen that one too many times lol.
