Level 71 Nike XI-X Balls

  Anyone have trouble with these balls, when using spin? I'm trying to play PH and have noticed (real quick) that I need a 10 dot spin ball, but cannot locate any in the Pro Shop. I just bought a sleeve, and when I apply any spin, I seem to lose the little control I normally have. Do they just not work well with the 85 Nike irons?

  I switched from the lvl48 ball to these about a month ago. Found out quickly that you don't need to use near as much spin to get similar stopping power as you do with the lower level balls. Driver, 3 wood approaches and short pitch shots are really the only time I use more than half spin as using more than that can lead to very unexpected yardages and terribly off-line shots with even a slight miss of the 'ding'. Definitely a learning curve to them, but now that I've gotten used to them, I love them. I'm no Pinehurst expert, but I personally think there's a lot of approaches where extra spin does more harm than good.

  I found out through experience and later read here on the forums that they dont work well with the lvl97 Nikes. The same may be true of the lvl85s. I'v since purchased the R11's and the ball works fine.
