I have just attempted to play the Cutter and Buck event, and I emphasise "attempted" as the conditions are such as to render accurate play impossible.  When the hole is played as normal, wind conditions throw balls in all directions, then when the wind and other effects are taken into consideration, they play no part and the ball ends miles from where it was aimed.  The greens are like sheet glass, unless of course you compensate for this, and then it is like putting through treacle!  If you cannot follow the laws of physics and geography on these courses at least follow the rules you set yourself!  The courses are meant to be a challenge for all players, not a physical impossiblity.

Your clubs are going to severely limit the enjoyment of the game.  When you say the wind throws the ball everywhere, it is moreso to do with the precision rating of your clubs.  If you don't want do spend real $ to enhance the experience, there are many free credit offers.

This is one of the top events here, just like the Virtual US Open Qualifying. They are set to top tier conditions for all players, including playing from the tips and on top speed greens.

Edit: The C&B is tiered but still a tad more difficult than usual tourneys, I assume. /edit

To be honest: With your experience, with the equipment available to you, more so with the Starters you are using, you have no chance to contend - nor do I!

If you play these, abandon any ambition, just take it as an experience taken or, even better, as a walk through a beautiful park.

After the VUSO, the course will be openly available for tiered play. Until then, you're better off in the Weeklies and Monthlies or other activities.

    Have fun!
