I find the "caddies"  t be a major pain. They do not take into consideration anything.   They don't consider player level, equipment, wind, green slope speed,or much of anything else.

I would like to suggest that the caddy feature be turned off when a player reaches the level of Pro, or at the very latest, Tour Pro.  I know  about the concept that the preshot routine could over come the inability of the caddy to understand the nuances of the wind clubs, balls, etc., but it is a distraction when considering the next shot if u have to consider the clubs selected by caddy, and it has caused time penalty's.

I am quite capable of selecting my own club for a shot by this time.

Just a suggestion tht I think would be an advantage to the game.

I would think changing the club the caddie suggests and selecting the club yourself with no suggestion would take exactly the same amount of time.  Remember you'd have to select the club, including the putter and putter meter,  every single time by clicking on it. When you agree with the caddie you don't have to do anything.

I agree, though most of the time there are corrections. The mousewheel works well on the fairways. The most annoying detail to me is the auto-choice of pitch and chip which are wrong 95+%.

IMHO, the caddie's "fault" is that he tries to be too clever. Let him select Full Shot exclusively plus the proper club for the distance indicated and leave the rest to me, same with the putter on the green!

Look at the "Caddy woes" thread which has been started by Icon in January. Many good observations and thoughts in it, but not a single official reaction of any relevance, unfortunately. Reminds me of public Bucket List thread of Jan. 2013 :(

Apparently, their policy hasn't changed. From the CEO down (video chat of 2012) we are continuously told to place our ideas here but most of the time we're talking to deaf ears.

"Those who enter here, abandon any hope!"

I agree 100%.  I have posted on the same subject more than once with nothing done.

I believe that WGT takes more money from their customers in lost balls, Out of Bounds, etc, by not changing it, so it is a lost cuase.

So far, customer feedback has been ignored concerning this issue.
