I just wanted to point something out that really gets up my nose.

There is an advert out at the moment that reads as follows.

'The SLDR driver is the top driver on tour, and TaylorMade released an all-white version, that WGT is unlocking earlier. The black SLDR unlocks at Level 89 but the white SLDR unlocks at Level 79, for a limited-time only.'

The above statement is actually a lie and is false advertising. There are at least 2 better drivers on here, the

TaylorMade R1 Super TP 8.0 White Driver (OBAN shaft) (L98+)

    and the

    NIKE Covert 2.0 Driver (L100+)

Now what really really gets up my nose is that I can't buy either of these.

I am a Tour Legend, I will have been on the site for 6 years in October. I have pretty consistently been a top player over that period( not at the moment unfortunately) and yet I am not allowed to buy the top equipment.

I know this has been brought up before but it is an absolute joke and means that I am playing against people of the same standard who have a slight advantage. A slight advantage of 1 shot a round is very important in this game.

Can someone at WGT please sort this out because the game is not going to advance in a number of ways until something is done about this.

I am fully aware that  anyone can walk into a pro shop and buy whatever club they want. However if I walked in and bought a NIKE Convert I would not then tee up and hit the ball 320 yards(unless I put it through the back window of a car). The clubs need to be limited distance wise in tiers. Maximum distance should be unlocked when you reach the top tier. All the other aspects of the club can stay the same but it is the distance that really makes the difference as you progress.

Beating my head against a brick wall

    They didn't say in here.

    No offence intended:

You have been present in 2010 when the company decided to make the purchases depend on levels instead of tiers. AFAIK them they won't change back just to please you.

Thus, sorry to say, it's you who is not advancing enough in the levels. The company relys on our industry to rise through the tiers in order to get certain equipment. That is an important part of their business plan, I'm sure.

Concerning the special offer, it's a real bargain - you'd probably spend more in balls than the difference in price, normally.

    Edited:

And if your desire is big enough, a sidepath to level 100 has been discussed here, boring times 100 but lightning-quick. (Don't ask me about it, it's just too boring!)

The (glitch) XP-gaining method discussed in this thread was exterminated in late March.

Good point PT, I didn't look at it like that.

Alosso it just doesn't make any sense. I would hazard a guess that every player with over 100 levels does not pay for their gear with cash. Would I be right in assuming that?

I don't have the top gear because I cannot purchase either of the 2 longest drivers. Wedges are different as they are feel clubs rather than power.

Paul your driver is identical to mine in performance, I'm over level 100 and don't buy any of my gear with cash.

    Happy hitting
