I currently have theTaylormade R1 that goes 275 is it worth it to go with the Taylormade SLDR when I hit that level... seems a bit too much to pay for that ...

Probably yes, BUT you don't need it at your current tier or the next one for that matter.  The advice I would give is save your credits for now.  The R1 you have is plenty (really too much IMO) for Master/Tour Master tees, as are the other clubs you currently have.

If you have credits burning a hole in your pockets - there are some really fine wedges unlocking in your next few levels.  Those will make much more of a difference in your game than the few extra yards the SLDR will give you over the R1 you have now.

Best of luck and hit 'em straight.

If u have the credits...YES.  The sldr will last u well in to the l90s and to get it at l79 is a great opportunity. You r not far away from legend level and will be glad that u have it.

I think depending on what balls u plan on using all the time id save the credits and get better irons but no real need to upgrade until u get to legend just my 2 cents

Both the R1 and low level G20s are fine even at Legend, I'd recommend just playing pratice rounds to get to at least L85 for the Nike V Forgeds, don't need to upgrade again possibly, goes 220-115. I'd get the L76-80 Cg16's, just watch how much backspin you put on them. I'd also get a 240 yard wood soon, the X2 Hot is very forgiving and will match the speed of both the irons I mentioned and the current driver, you have a another 240 wood fairly soon (24-34k) with the high level G20 (L81), that has high trajectory, vs the med/high of the X2 Hot.

I think it might be on par 5's
but it's not the driver that wins it,
but rather good iron game and the ole putter,
focus on those, and driver won't be much
of an issue (as long as you get fairways).

From Master Tees no point whatsoever.  Get to Legend and see what's around then.

I'm facing the same question? Just made it to Master. I've got the Taylormade R1 which I really like. Think I will spend my credits on the Taylor RocketBlaze L79 irons, and keep using the R1.

You're in a slight pickle at this stage (L75), and those clubs have a fast meter and are not very forgiving at all. Slower meter choices at a few more levels yields the High level G20s, and the mid (L85) level Nike V-Forgeds. Neither have the yardage of the PW, though the 220-115 of the Nikes will be ok, while the Ping's PW are SHORTER than the L59 version's.

If you don't mind ball going awry on starter clubs, the Bladez would be fine.

If you want your last club set with a safe meter speed (which is the same as your current L32 R11's), I'd take the Nikes at 85.

I find that the difference between a wedge and an iron can be a good difference if you really have your wedges dialed in.  An extra 5-10-15 yards can make a huge difference in some situation off a drive.

Caveat - I am a hack legend that can't ding the broad side of a barn.
