Only been playing a few days but hooked on this game. My question is....How do you earn credits so I can upgrade clubs ?   Costs a fortune to upgrade and also....what would you recommend upgrading first ?  It's tough coming in from long range and can't stop the ball on the green.  Thus do I do driver over irons and wedges ? Any other tips for a beginner would be much appreciated. Thanks

In the Get Credits drop down select "earn free credits".

Viewing videos and answering surveys will get you the free credits you want. Takes a while to build them up but many have done it.

As for what to get first? Opinions vary but the search box on the left will lead you to MANY threads discussing upgrading clubs.

    Welcome to the addiction.

IMHO, the most time-effective way to get credits is to work for money and buy the credits.

My 2 Pfennig regarding a sequence of importance is

    - 2 short wedges lvl 38 or lvl41,

    - 3WD (lvl31 or 48)

    - driver and irons at lvl48 or lvl58

    - putter not less than 500 crs if you really think you can't do it without.

The Low Level you are on now might be a problem. Play as many games as possible to get the XP's needed.  With the daily bonus you can get 2000 points for playing 3 games a day.

Or if you have only 5 mins... play a 1 hole game to keep the Bonus points running. In 'Wgt Community' under 'Golf Courses'

I know quite people using the Beginners Putter and go pretty good with it. The first Putter I got was the Daytona Rossa....  very good and very cheap.

    What they said... ^^^^^

I upgraded my clubs, some of them against these guys advice.. and it didn't help me a damn bit.. haha.. The L33 Callaway balls are nice, and a good value and that would help a little with stopping the ball. Other than that, just practice.. and have fun!

Ok for me logic dictates that the club you use most is the one needing upgrading first. In my opinion that is the putter. Unless you are really good you will take at least 2 putts on most holes, m,aybe more as beninner. Your next most used club is your driver, even still you only use this once per hole, and you may not use it at all on par 3s, after that irons, then when you are improving get descent wedges.

You have a good set of clubs too Ish, but missing a 3wood.

Most of the clubs at the lower levels are pretty good and suited to everybodys Tier, but alas they might be too good.  I see people rocketing through the Tiers and still at Level 50/60. Then they start to struggle with the clubs they have in the Higher Tiers.

The Xp's needed in the levels under L80 to progress to the next one is not too bad and you all can move through em pretty quick.  In the L90's plus then it's a lifetime...lol

So I say to everybody....  Play as many games as you can, but keep the daily bonus going if you can, log on play a one hole game or a 3 hole game...  5-10mins just to keep the 880 xp bonus running...  if you don't play one day then that goes to zero.

    Back to the Op's question...

When I first joined....    I struggled to make some of the fairways...  distance off the tee is important.  Back then I think we where using wooden shafts...lol

Distance off Tee... Driver.  Then you need to Putt... so Putter.  A longer club off the fairway....  3wood or Hybrid...   Maybe a better Ball helped.   Then Irons and Wedges... Or if yor have the credits a full set.

I liked my old Raptures, I wish Wgt bring em back, they were a good set.

Pretty much what Alosso said except when it comes to the new driver or irons I'd get the irons 1rst myself. When I read your post it made me go to the pro shop and see what lvl my trusty old Raptures with the lime green shafts, were available at.. Those babies took me to legend before I got G20's and after that R11's.  Can't believe that iron set isn't available.

Either way, just play as much as you can if you want to improve and take whatever's thrown at you for free tourney's. In the end all the struggles in those tourney rounds will only make you a much better player.

Yeah, I'm actually using an R11S 3W, just don't have a driver.. Waiting on the R1 @ L48, I'll hit L44 later today. I get 230-260 depending on wind out of the 3W, good enough from my tees.

Your point is well taken about advancing tiers too quickly.. I should still be at Pro, wish I was anyway! haha

Stupid me....lol  Didn't realise.  Actually not a bad way of learning how far your 3wood goes off the tee.   I play my 3wood off the tee alot on short holes and doglegs to save going into trouble.

Yes me too....lol     Spewing I had to make a big mistake and sell em to get another club.  I probably buy em again if available, just to keep in the cabinet...lol
