Hit every chip fat. Have tried every variable except changing ball position which can't be done.  End up putting everyting which is only to avoid double digits. Need guidance.

Try the flop shot. With practice you can stop them dead on landing.

There are certain rules about chipping and pitching that you need to pay attention to. The Chip and Pitch tips in the FAQs will give you a good look at what you have to watch for and how to use them. They're shots worth learning, too.   :-)

As a beginner with Starter gear, it's most important to know that caddie's proposals "chip" and "pitch" are wrong most of the time! These only depend on distance regardless of the lie, and these shots are pretty worthless from the rough!

Pitches fly ca. 50% of their length. Use them when the ball will land on fairway or better.

Chips fly only 25% of their length. Use them when the ball will land on fringe or green.

In case of doubt, use punch or full shot, also from bunker!

Unfortunately, the flop is not a good alternative with your equipment. To stop them dead, you need top equipment!

Conclusion: Strong recommendation to buy two short wedges from level 38 up - ATV oder Ping!
