I am a new player. I have been somewhat busy though participating in the suggested practices and tournaments. Is there a reason the stats don't post? Is there a delay of some kind that I need to wait a couple of days?

If you mean the stats on your profile page that are mostly at zero, that's because you haven't played any 9 or 18 hole rounds yet.
That's ranked strokeplay, including tournaments.

Ranked?
Practise rounds don't count towards your stats because they can be configured to make them easy, short tees, low wind, green speeds that you like etc, whereas ranked rounds are pseudo random conditions with your green speeds and tees.
To be specific, ranked stroke rounds. CTTH do not count towards stats.
