i would like to see WGT allow players to have a back up ball(s) in their bag.  When a player, during play, uses up their selected choice of ball (due to use, water hazard, or out of bounds) WGT automatically makes the player use a starter ball.  I would like to be able to set my choice of ball (out of my inventory of course) as my "back up" ball that would be automatically put in my bag to be played when my ball that I am using is eliminated due to the 3 situations mentioned earlier.  The logic behind this is that I have already purchased balls so why not be able to have my "go to" ball in my bag to use.  When a player is playing a rated game it does not seem fair to finish using a very low quality ball; most likely that low quality ball has a faster meter speed of which the transition to that ball, in my opinion, is very unprofessional.   Thank you for your time and labor.

Only one make/model of ball can be put in the bag.

Plus there is a Condition of the Competition in the Rules of Golf that allow a tournament committee to invoke a Local Rule known as the One Ball Condition. See Appendix 1, Part C, 1., c.

    1.  This is not the USGA.....this is an online golf game.

    2.  WGT is not following the RULES OF GOLF, specifically the Local Rule known as One  Ball Condition.   If WGT is going to follow the RULES OF GOLF then WGT needs to stop allowing players to have a starter ball when that player runs out of balls in their bag during play.  WGT needs to disqualify a player when they do run out of balls during play

    3.  WGT main purpose in providing this online game is to create monetary profit.  It would only be to WGTS' advantage in that purpose to allow a secondary ball because that would create more profit due to players using/losing more paid for balls.  If one is not playing, one is not losing/wearing out their balls.  Just makes more profitable sense allowing players to use a paid for secondary ball rather than the free starter balls given to players by WGT; which is a direct violation of the RULES OF GOLF.

thanks for your time and labor and no need to compensate me for this great suggestion for greater profit for WGT.

Usually once a week at a minimum this subject is brought up by members who never use the search feature before they post. In all cases I wish WGT did dsq players instead of defaulting to the free ball. It would smarten up the players right quick to be much more attentive to their GB's in use while playing.

    Amen, brother.

Wgt wants you to buy balls, that's it.  That's why the starter ball is so crappy.

The post below about USGA rules not being followed is correct.  If wgt wanted to follow the rules of the game, they could make it so.

    Not this again?

Those different balls you all have that you'd love to be able to use?  They are not in your bag.  You can equip your bag with one type of ball, the rest are at home.

I hope one day we have a vote as to whether running out of the type of ball you started a round with means you get disqualified. I know where the hell my cross is going.

And this isn't the PGA or the R&A.  Nor is it C&A or PMS for feck's sake.

It's WGT and they can impose whatever rule they like when it comes to equipment usage.

paid for balls + wear on durability + lost balls + a backup selection of paid for balls in bag to give players a choice to use when ball in bag is deleted during play  =  greater revenue* for WGT

    *= purpose of the WGT

Remember the great American slogan-  "its all about the money"
