    HI,

This is not a whinge, just looking for some help/opinions/clarification if possible. Am wondering why my shots are going wide even when I ring the bell, (and yes, I'm aiming at the hole lol). Does 0 wind not actually MEAN '0'? Am I to assume it's simply UNDER 1mph in whatever direction the meter is showing? Some of shots seem to go WAY astray despite dinging them.

Hoping someone can fill me in,

    Many thanks,

    Bob

Depending on accuracy rating of your clubs there is a circle of accuracy(Search VEM) for clubs, a ding can be long/short/R/L but within the circle around your point of aim...

Lot of threads on it....1 is a recent topic on crosswind opened by alex on like page 7-8

    here ya go.... http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/237339.aspx?PageIndex=8

Looks you have only been on the back tees a month-...your noticing it more because you have longer approach shots now and they say, no one really knows is my guess, but the VEM is cranked up as you tier up...

Yep. And the size of that circle of accuracy is in part dependent on the Precision rating of the club used. A higher Precision rating means a club has a smaller circle of accuracy (is more precise).

Forgiveness affects how much less accurate that circle of accuracy is if the Ding! (Excellent) mark is missed. More Forgiveness is desirable.

Most awesome, thanks guys. I was thinking it may have had something to do with being on the next tier, but it's seriously been driving me insane sometimes lol. Lost count of the 'near misses'. Thank you all for the comments/explanations. Back to the practise tee's for Bob :-)

    Cheers,
