  This might help others and some Ideas I need to help me.

  I finally did it, after 12 years using my old one with windows xp, I decided to lash out and buy a new Puter.

  HP, I7... 3.40 ghz processor, 8mg ram, 2 tb hardrive, what a beast...lol.  Running Windows 8.1 (hmmm)   I had to get my 15yr old daughter to show me quite a few things on how to get around using that stupid windows....lol

  I had to try quite a few Browsers, so I can play the game.

  IE ... Useless

  Firefox (my old browser) ... not bad but, meter stutters more than a cat on heat...lol. Not good

  Chrome  Not bad too...  but meter is super warp speed and most of time flys way past the ding like a  Rocket

  Comodo Dragon ...  The one I settled with at the moment... meter is still a little bit fast and the occasional, fly by the ding but is very usable.

  - note... Comodo has a new browser now, based on Firefox...  I tried that and is pretty good...but slower than a wet blanket.

  I have my profile page running, with 3 tabs open doing different things... I don't use Gamebooster now....   My game settings are all turned on and Best Resolution...except for the putter/shot pals and little things like that.

  My meter is smooth as silk...  Just waiting to play Multi Player games now to see how it goes...  the old puter I had heaps of probs with disco's.

  Wow...  I'm so bloody happy....lol

  If you have problems... try another browser, One browser might be good for one person, the same one will be bad for others.

  My question.....   Is there something I can do to stop the fly by the ding.  It's not too bad, but if I'm lazy then it goes past.

  Edit....  I have Adblock too.   No Adds to look at or Vids to see.

  Do you pause at the top of the back swing to give the CPU time to settle down, or use Task Manager to watch CPU performance as a way to make meter performance as stable as possible during the down swing?

  You can do exercises to improve your eye hand coordination and your mouse button press timing.

  Top athletes use visualization.

  i was waitin to see YANKEE jim..comment or pop by an see if his comodo was normal...

  i never had any trouble with it..till few days ago...now its unplayable...

  but...... firefox is GREAT !! ..

  JUST WUNDER ...if i shud ..unistaill comodo..an try other one...

  but for now ..happy with firefox.. except full screen no quite as big as comodo... from f11

  so had to make me a whole new ...redneck scale ...LOL  ...

  My old machine... C/Dragon was terrible too and was using Firefox, which was pretty good. The new one Firefox is not good and Comodo is pretty good

  Go Figure.....lol

  Edit....  I have 4 browsers loaded on the Pc and just change to default browser when I use any of em.

  Can't fault Maxthon 3, Its fast, full screen for WGT is awesome and meter is smooth.  Hopefully i can test their new Maxthon Labs browser soon.  its what browser suits your PC and you the best

  Here's something else interesting too.

  I haven't cleared any cache or deleted any flash files for 3 days and game is running perfect, except for the slight problem of the fly-by ding....lol

  Hasn't changed one iota for me. Playing like the day I started with it.  :-)

  @Roger-If you haven't already done so, investigate what's starting up in the background when you turn your machine on. New machines come packed with superfluous stuff that gets in the way. Free up a lot of that RAM by disabling those useless startups. 

  Msconfig read.

  If I start mucking around with the msconfig, I'll shut down the whole system, I reckon....lol I will check it out though as I've got a stupid Pc Health Kit program annoying me.

  I also have 8mb Ram. so I think that's plenty compared to the 2mb on the other Pc.

  I said this awhile back...  The game might be getting too big now for some Puters to handle.

  The things I had to do on my last PC was incredible, just to play the game. Now I just log on and start playing
