    MartyFlanagan:

if you set up an 18 hole bracket tournament it would be better to have a good length of time to complete your round.

    No worries there then:

Still being alive at the end might be a problem though, that's nearly 8,000 years.

    YankeeJim:

    Kelsey12:

What the hell is Championship 13 green speed? Or, more specifically, what is the 13 supposed to signify?

The same thing those other numbers mean in the list above-it's the speed rating of the green.

Soooo... nothing? They could've simply called them Championship and no one would be the wiser? I could understand the necessity to include the speed rating if there were different levels of championship green speed, but there isn't. It makes the 13 moot.

I don't know what a speed rating is, or how it pertains to this game. I do appreciate the reply though. I would've Googled 'stimpmeter' had I seen your list before I started my reply.

    Thanks Jim

Just tried it - got the same message....and yes, I also have a Premium and a Free Tourney slot available, so that's not it either.

    Thanks for the suggestion, though

    See this thread.

It should only be a positive thing.

There are three(?) options. Problem is, there's no indication of the time limitt, at least not before you enter. 70 Mio hours as shown by Mainz ain't helpful.

Ahhh, but there are different levels of green speeds within each designation. You can see it in the qualifying at Pinehurst-the green speeds are called Championship but are not the same every day. In fact, the PH greens are not true Championship speeds, rather something slower.

When tiers are mixed, such as in AS or All Players tournaments, you're going to see a hybrid speed based on the mixture. If Legends putt on a 12 and TLs putt on a 13, together they putt on something in between like 12.5, 12.6, etc. You also see this routinely change during the week in the WGT tournaments.

Players have been clamoring for this numbered green speed rating for a long time. :-)
