    cozmozogg:
you know as well as anyone faterson what gets fixed and what doesn't.

I don't, and WGT's priorities may shift over time, based exactly on the amount of feedback they receive here in the forums to the various issues with the game. It would be hard to argue that quitters are not the no. 1 issue right now. We can only hope WGT will adjust their priorities based on this voluminous feedback from recent days, and act accordingly.

    cozmozogg:
moreover, 4 different forum threads are talking about the frustration of the quit issue

This is a deficiency of this forum's (mis)management that I've always criticized. There should only be one central thread to deal with quitters; any newly created quitters thread should be merged with the central quitters thread right away, to avoid redundancy in the forum.

as usual, i am in complete agreement with u faterson. and yes, u are correct on the reprioritizing [the new levels/buying clubs for 1 week option comes to mind]. ditto on the threads! so... to quote one of your favorite authors [if my short/long term memory problem isnt betraying me], tolstoy said..."what is to be done?", describing, of course, the state of wgt in our modern time:)

I too have not been able to complete 1 single  pickup game today. Every one has ended the same way in a 'Game Freeze' the moment someone quits.

Quitting by itself is another problem and a seperate issue. This is some sort of NEW problem with the game when someone exits that wasnt happening before that most definately is happening now.

A player in the first game I joined today made mention of it during the introductory greetings. I didnt think anything of it until each game that followed ended the excact same way. I have been submitting Bug Report's each and every time it happens. This is a serious problem that WGT needs to address immediately !

What happens if you let yourself get DQ'd as opposed to quitting? Does the game still freeze? Takes a few minutes, and not a great option, but there are times when life happens and you have to leave a game.

this is the 2nd to last time i post this... i played game with 2 friends, had a great game [-7], beer-translated, -2, was about to hit my last putt - meter froze and i couldnt finish the 9-hole round. couldnt finish alone either. no bonus, no stats, bug submitted. if the packers had lost today i'd REALLY be pissed. if i worked at WGT i'd like to take off, drink beer, and watch the ryder cup in person too. i have been to wales - its a cool place, but fix the @#$% first guys, THEN play:) - as berman and the espn crew says..."CMON GUYS" - u have an excellent product - tighten it up huh? and if u cant figure it out, i will code it for you, for 200 bucks and press box tickets to the dal/gb game at lambeau]...

Yes, I don't know which thread to go to now. The problem I currently want to report on may or may not be appropriate to this thread but here it is...

I have been in a number of games lately where someone has quit and it has forced the other players to quit as well. The most annoying was the most recent. I was playing a ladder 9 match with 2 other members of the Ladders site and after four holes I was -2 and the other 2 were square with the card. One of the others was having a particularly bad time on the 5th hole and after apologizing and reporting his loss to each of us he quit. This promptly crashed the game and ended the match.

I was potentially going to beat the other player as well but now I have missed out on that chance. Even if he and I had the time to spare starting another match, I would have had to start equal with the other player and thereby losing the advantage I previously had accumulated.

WGT please take note! 2 problems to solve now - Quitters and Quitters crashing the game for everyone around them.

Yes, I don't know which thread to go to now.

Neither do WGT's developers, which is even worse. Seeing there are always at least 5 simultaneous quitters threads running in these forums (haphazardly thrown about in any and all the forum subsections, too), it's easy for WGT's developers to overlook how urgent this issue is, and the newly added dimension of the issue: that one quitter now destroys the game for everyone else as well. They can just say, "Oh, it's just the usual whining about quitters like we've seen it here for years and years," without doing anything about it.

Maybe for urgent bugs like this, it would be more useful to email the bug report to members@worldgolftour.com in addition to reporting it here in the forum, which doesn't seem to be very effective in eliciting WGT's response.

If we had 1 central quitters thread here in the forum, with users bombarding the thread with these urgent bug reports, it would be more difficult for WGT's developers to ignore that thread and fail to act upon it. Whereas now, they can just ignore all of these complaints as "business as usual".

I agree.  I don't like quitters, but don't penalize the remainder of the group playing.  I haven't been able to complete a round the past 3 days..
