I think the OP is wanting the stated distances not actual mapped distances as he hasn't got the Nikes ;-)

I would hazard a guess that they're all equally spaced.

    PW   115
    9 i     130
    8 i     145
    7 i     160
    6 i     175
    5 i     190
    4 i     205
    3 i     220

The only distance that matters with those clubs is the distance to the garbage bin you're throwing them into.

    Scott is correct.

Trajectory is significantly higher than the L59 G20 irons I used before my recent purchase of the L85 Nike irons. Wind has a magnified affect as a result. Miss the 'ding' on the wrong side and the ball rides the wind a long way off course.

Assuming WGT's recent issues have been identified and fixed - I haven't even been able to consistently 'ding' the SLDR driver the past several days or so - it is imperative to use a ball with enough 'feel' that allows the player to be very accurate with the meter.

Stopping power is really, really good right up to and including the 3-iron. Quite an upgrade from the G20/25 irons, IMO.

This was my 1st iron upgrade and I'm using them now.

I was big on starter ball usage for a long time so I chose these for those reasons. There is a starter ball game on my blog at the bottom which I recorded. But these 85s are not bad w/ the right ball IMO in regards to meter and spin.

Like many, I haven't got the hang of the distances, mostly w/ the PW out of the rough/sand.

My biggest hangup w/ these is the forgiveness w/ says '3' but missing the ding on these can be a problem for me. Using a slower meter ball may help but I can see the level 97s will be my next choice very soon.

bhoese has done an incredible test w/ the 85s and even stating that in one test they beat out the 97s.

But you have to read all the details about exactly what was tested in the link for yourself.

I rented them on free Masters weekend. I thought they were far more consistent than my R11's. Wish i could trade for them :-)
