I know there are cheats available for this game. I have never so much as visited those web pages offering cheats. I do have a couple questions for which i am asking specific answers.

[1] What cheats are currently available ?

[2] What telltale signs expose each of those cheats ?

Thanks, your time and info is greatly appreciated.........Keith

Cheat Engine is the only program that works against Flash games reliably that I know of. It's a memory resource editing tool that allows you to identify and change addressing values in a Flash based game.

It's a pretty slick program actually - Anyone who's seen my scores since returning a few months ago can certainly tell I'm sure as hell not using it, least if I am I have no clue how to use it.

As for how you tell who's using it? Not touching that one. LoL

My recommendation would be:  to not build your CC around trying to identify and eliminate cheaters. If you have honesty and integrity and are looking to create a fun environment, over time the right people, who are not cheaters, will join and stick with you.

Going on a witch hunts never ends good. Not saying that is what you want to do, but its a fine line and it can get to that point very fast.  I don't think there are any full proof, tell tale signs someone is cheating.  People have there suspicions and someone could come on here and give you 5 ways to figure out if someone is cheating and they could be dead wrong. Then you go after someone with a vengeance and they were innocent.

I think the few ways you would know for sure someone was cheating: if you were standing next to them and watching them play, if they did video of themselves playing showing the cheat, or they out right admitted. Other than that, this is the inet. No way to really no for sure who anyone is or what they are up to

Thanks for the input jsweetcr, i appreciate the honesty without the sarcasm. I am only trying to build a CC for new players from all around the world, a fair environment where they can learn and progress, and most importantly enjoy their experience here at WGT without anything ruining their efforts.

Maybe i'm jumping the gun, maybe the guy in question is a genius, maybe he has played before on another account. Maybe i'm jealous that on my first day on WGT i couldn't post scores like that with starter equipment and no experience.

Time will tell, it all comes out in the wash... i was just asking a simple question to a huge group of players who may have dealt with slimy players in the past, hoping to nip it in the bud before any of my club members give up if they didn't experience similar results.

    Thanks again.........Keith

    you're welcome.

I am sure you can do some digging in the forums and find some stuff and opinions are like aholes, everyone has one and so yes there are people out there that for sure could comment on this. Problem is, it is a really touchy subject and a very slippery slope.

    Good luck with your club

Well, some one scoring 65 on day they joined at St Andrews and putting 42 footers and 30 footers should ring the alarm bells.  They might not be using any cheat engine software, but they might have opened a new account

Bells ring more loud if they profile is show they buy no clubs. Lucky person to get gift on first day play here.
