R1 vs L96 Bertha driver

  So i just played a round with Mainzman, a fellow equipment junkie.  :)

  He had the R1 with L33 Cally and I had my rented Big Bertha with L35 Cally ball.

  I found no advantage to the high ball flight what so ever, even though we had helping winds on all but 2 holes, I know shocking right?

  I will gladly plug on with the R1,  just needed to satisfy my curiosity.  :)

  Waaaait a second, here. There's a guy swearing up and down that the R1 outdrives other drivers by 10-12 yards. Must mean MM averaged 319+ off the tee. LOL, ya, right.  :-D

  I'm sure if those L35 Callys had been yellow the result would have been very different ; )

  Sadly I appear to have bought a L93 R1 with the glitch missing Jim.  It's a great driver but I've been out driven by the SLDR, X-Hot and BB now and then.

  There's a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis, but he's a liar and I'm not sure about TDS.

  Oh yea,  and the extra carry that I was looking for wasn't there.   There was a drive or two that Mainz carried to where mine ended. LOL

  And last night the G20 driver out drove me as well as the SLDR.  Although the SLDR was hitting the L71 Nike ball.  But I was playing the L33 and so was the guying pummeling the G20.

  only difference i see against either of those with myR11s and L61 nikes is about 3-5 yards into wind ....

  All this different ball stuff don't mean a thing.    and the fact that the Level 93 Black even keeps up with that driver within this scenario  speaks for itself.   that Big Bertha is suppose to be better.       Try using the same ball and then come tell me what you find. 

    I know for a fact with a heavy tailwind using full back spin and the same ball  there is no outdriving the Black R1    And most of the time the only club that even comes close is the nike covert..because when using full backspin it tends to catch more distance with a heavy tailwind.     

  Say as you wish I play skins games and MPC I don't waste my time with much else.   In those skins games and MPC challenges you run into some of the top players within the game.   And most of the time there all using some sort of Nike ball.   Never a Calloway.  and trust me most of those players also have the Level 93 Black R1.    Ive done my math fellas  its no fluke  the Black R1 is the furthest hitting driving in this game.    And those who use it know me to be right.      And most of them really don't want WGT to bring it back so others can get there hands on it.       Try asking those players who still use the old R11 Driver.   You still se quite a bit of them still out there.     Boy aren't they at a disadvantage.   And there driver says it hits 282.  same as the SLDR.      But boy aren't those 2 drivers different.           Man I gonna have to start charging for all this education im giving you guys on this game.   :)     Donnie

  353 yards with a 1 - 3 tailwind at Congo #17, yup, the black R1 is the bees knees.

  In what way is the BB supposed to be better?  More expensive, yes but better, no.  The R1 is available only to those 2 levels above the BB, the way WGT works higher level pretty much always equals better.

  I'm having to compare the BB to the L98 R1 here since the L93 is no longer available.  That's of no concern since they're the same club.

  

  These 2 drivers have the same ratings except trajectory.  Not one of these stats points towards the BB being better.

  I won't argue with you there.  There's a reason it's the longest hitter in the game, with the possible exception of the L11 Nike though.  That reason is it's actually the L98 driver.

  I don't understand why you're unable to come to terms with this.  The L93 R1 driver is the L98 one in a different colour and was available at L93 for a limited time period.

  Yes I do understand and also understand the Level 93 Black outdrives em all.    :)
