Given that clubs perform different for different players, I had to test out the R1 (not the black) vs the BB and usually I'm getting longer drives w/ the BB but I still switch back and forth.
The tail wind might help w/ a higher traj. w/ the BB, or work against it , etc.
I might have more stopping options (less roll out w/ BS) w/ the BB, and although it has the same meter speed, it seems I may be better at dinging the R1. (inconclusive)
bhoese tests were said to be not very extensive ('warrants further investigation.') but I applaud the effort.
Tests of 5 drivers under identical conditions:

"The Big Bertha 9.0 produced an incredibly tight grouping... when I took a few more swings "off the record" the third went 318-338, the longest shot of the night. " ~ bhoese
edit: again, this is bhoese work, and I love all the other charts at the thread.
SP, I don't think IMHO you'd require the R1 at all, but with WGT sometimes the 'newest' driver performs better just because you made the purchase. (again, speculation, IMO)
I like the method of 'noton..' where you try putters/clubs on a rental period. Methinks the performance of a club during rental would tend toward more accurate. (inconclusive)
