Windows 8.1 help needed.

  Hi folks, im hoping that somebody here has come across this problem, and is able to help me out on this. I bought a new PC with Windows 8.1 installed just over 2 weeks ago, and i am now getting this problem after about 1 week.

  If you watch the video, you will see this problem happening after about 14 seconds in. You can see the actual browser is still open, and near the end of the video, i open another page (not WGT) that has the same problem.

  I have Googled this problem, but all the answers given seem to relate to a total black out, which is not happening here.

  If any of you folks out there have seen this before, and know how to get it sorted, can you please let me know whats happening|? I would appreciate immensely.

  Strange,  I don't have that problem with 8.1.   

  Have you tried a different browser, just to rule out if it is the browser and not 8.1?

  The only time I will get the black screen ,and it is just for a second or two is when I am updating a driver, other than that I never get it.

  I do have windows 8.1

  Thanks folks. I havent tried another browser yet, but will do soon. I will let you know if it helps. I am using Firefox at the moment, and it has served me well in the past. I know Chrome was a pain in the ass, but it might just work better with 8.1. Thanks again folks, i will be back with any updates if any.

  Interesting,  when I did a quick google search on the topic, only results I came up with were referring to Firefox.

  I use to use Chrome but now I use Opera...works better for me...I have 8.1 also

  That's the Firefox 32bit browser is it not? 

  TRY uninstalling it and doing a clean install. My guess is, it is a FIREFOX issue. Definitely not an OS issue. 

  Try the Maxthon browser - I use it and it works quite well.

  Well folks, its looking like a Firefox issue for sure. I have downloaded Chrome just to see if the issue is still there, and so far i havent seen it crop back up yet. Im going to stick with Chrome browser for a while, see how the game pans out for me, and report back with my findings.

  At least this thread will be here for future reference for any other folks who may be having the same trouble.

  I was using Firefox with no probs with my old Puter.  Got my new one with W8.1 and it was useless.

  I Found Chrome's meter too quick for me and had trouble hitting ding.

  Settled with Comodo Dragon and that's pretty good.

  One other thing I noticed too, the font was smaller and I had to increase the size to read the page.. .lol
