What piece of equipment do you want WGT to make?

    courteneyfish:
Please don't make longer hitting clubs. They are past realism already and the game will become too easy.

I agree Courteney, the last thing we need is longer or better clubs making the game even easier.

A ball retriever on the other hand?  Nice idea.  You could buy in in the pro shop for 400 credits or so and it would give you a 50% chance of getting your ball back after hitting it into water.

I'd like to see a new category added to the In My Bag menu: Sunblock. Traditional fitted hats much like what is featured on the funky fan choice avatar. Or visors like what is currently available on select female avatars. Or the 'old fashioned' hats circa Payne Stewart at the Open at Pinehurst.  Or the black straw hat with custom logo worn by Greg Norman during the latter parts of his career.  Or the big, floppy oversize hats circa Tom Kite during the mid to latter parts of his career (oversized eye glasses are optional but not required on this one LOL).  And for each style added, make them available in a variety of colors as well -- similar to what we see with the WGT GI ball series, but without the rediculous price difference according to color.

And the beauty of making this a category in the bag means that each hat wouldn't be avatar specific, and once purchased the hat can be worn by any avatar in your collection.  But I have only been here a year, and I'm sure that folks on tour have been asking for MOAR HATS since long before I got here, so I realize the chances of this happening is even less likely than the Yellow Callaways (and that is already nearing snowballs chance in Hell territory).

I would like to see a few more clubs with 5 dots of precision like the L97 Nike irons. A driver, 3wd, and wedges with this precision would help overcome a few of more annoying shots within the game (eg. dinged 4.5 precision 3wds that regularly go 8yds off line).

Titleist balls (colours tbd), with vapour (yellow?)

And, a ball marker tool for an aiming line with the option to properly align the ball for the putt.

And, a big blanket of questions to nurse hope and keep the customers busy and draw their attention away from all those nasty local issues like disconnections, brackets with accelerated rounds and surveys not paying out, covering missing answers and fixes etc.

    Oh, this is working already...!

Think you are talking about forgiveness(2.5) fmag. With that 3 wood you could miss by a hair and go off the planet or even hit the ding and have it go 5 yards off line. 4 forgiveness on the top irons and woods would do the trick. Wedges too.

The discrepancy between driver and 3wood should be closer. 40+ yard difference is too big of a gap.

The realism argument doesn't seem logical when pros are hitting driver 300+ and 3w 270+ on average. Sure the scores are a lot better here but I'm sure we can all say this is easier than real life golf.

    DarkenRahl:

I proposed something a while back about and then read something recently that got me thinking about it again. I have long wanted a set of vintage style clubs (persimmon woods and blade irons) and suggested a Master tier set similar to the very reasonable WGT Pro set a while back.  Then I was reading an old article where Johnny Miller was discussing iron play and how back in his playing days he wasn't just killing the ball and only hit his 9 iron 125 yards. 6 iron 160, and 4 iron 185.  I started playing around from those numbers as a base and then hit on the big idea that I didn't have previously.

The idea is rather simple - offer more than just a full set of clubs like the Pro Set but give options on how the set is configured to replicate different periods in the game.  For example, players like Jack Nicklaus and Arnold  Palmer in their heyday used a driver, 3 wood, and 1 iron - sand wedge or maybe swapped a third fairway wood in for a long iron - but the idea of the 3rd wedge wasn't brought in until Tom Kite started carrying one in the 80s.    By offering more than just 13 clubs you allow the idea of era based competitions and competitions with equal equipment with a higher level of precision equipment than the starter clubs.

For example, picture the clubs below with 3-3.5  precision, 1.5 forgiveness, and 2-2.5 spin with a trajectory similar to the level 59 g20s and a meter between 3 and 3.5 throughout the set.

    Driver  265 yds

    3 wood 235 yds

    4 wood 218 yds

    1 iron 222 yds

    2 iron 210 yds

    3 iron 197 yds

4 iron 185 yds (JM yardage here)

    5 iron 172 yds

6 iron 160 yds (JM yardage here)

    7 iron 148 yds

    8 iron 137 yds

9 iron 125 yds (JM yardage here)

    Pitching wedge 105 yds

    Sand Wedge 85 yds

    Lob Wedge  60 yds

and could also add in a vintage putter (8802 or Bullseye lookalike)  with 3 precision, 1.5 forgiveness and 3 balance and a 4.5 meter  with increments that are a bit off like 10, 40, 80, 160, 300.

To keep the tournament field level, Vintage tourneys could require the use of a WGT ball.  Players who wanted to slow the meter using GI3 series balls while those who wanted more performance could use the SD balls.

Now the sales spin, no licensing fees needed since all WGT equipment  = profit margins of 100 %.  Also bear in mind that a large percentage of WGT members are old enough to remember those clubs and a little bit of nostalgia goes a long way - especially aimed at those with disposable income.  A few hours of programming and some photo editing and you charge say 2000 - 3000 credits for the full set limited to Master tier or higher - yardages would work great for those tees I think - and you get a lot of options.

I am up for this, make old equpment and wgt history tour:))))))

A golf Buggy, my legs are starting to hurt after all these ready go's.

Can I please have a set of irons like the high level Nikes but with a dot less spin or instead of 4.5 spin can i have them 3.5 or 4 even.

How about a 240 yard HYBRID?

A putter like the top spec Odysa versa but with a meter scale that matches the Ghost, 15. 25 and 50

Nike balls with 5 dot distance, 4 dot spin (3.5 as well) but with a 4 dot meter speed.  there is no balls with these increments at present
