Are the free rental weekends that I've heard about at set known periods and if so, when are they?

Two US Opens and weekly promo tourney's woulda seemed like a gr8 time to have free rentals, no ? On second thought- save the cash and fix the multi- player glitches instead
After perusing the forums for four months now, I have only seen mention of two free rental weekends, one was for Masters weekend this year and last year I believe and the other was for Thanksgiving one year.
