Country Clubs - Membeships

  I am the owner of California Beachfront Country Club and I am suggesting to WGT t expand the amount of memberships to 500. I am constantly receiving requests to join and currently my CC is maxed out.

  Thank you for your suggestion.  We are looking at CC improvements and yours has been noted

  Over half of your membership no longer play. If you clear them out you'll have lots of room.

  Agreed - I had a quick look and 50 odd players have not played at all this year. I also looked at a few random players and looks like slim pickings that play CC events, with a participation rate of about 7-8 players.

  250 active players is plenty enough for any club. I've cut mine down a little as quality beats quantity and now I have more time for each member.

  I concur and allows members to know each other rather than just being a number.

  But for the OP, I am confused, full membership, many high level players but only a few TM's - there seems to be little done trying to improve fellow members games.

  I know some clubs who accept lower tier players, the better players act as mentors. With little tournament play at the club, can I ask what members are getting out of being a member?

  I am not trying to demean the club, I am just curious.
