How do you advance to amateur. It says lower you score, but I have played several rounds -2 to plus 2 and it is still showing a 100 by my name. Do you just have to play a certain amount of rounds or what. Just wondering, and thank you for any help you can give. Have a good one.

We use an algorithm to determine when a player is eligible to move to a new tier, which takes into account a number of factors including number of ranked games played.  These numbers scale by tier, so it's necessary to shoot a lower average to advance and to play more games to reach higher tiers.  For example, when you reach Tour Master, you will need to play a larger number of ranked rounds than you had as a Master, maintaining a low average, to tier up to Legend.

Additionally, in response to WGT player feedback about sandbagging (misrepresenting one's true ability to gain advantage by playing at a lower tier from closer tee boxes), WGT is using more than just ranked stroke play scores to determine each player's average score and appropriate tier ranking.

For obvious reasons, WGT is not sharing exact details of these changes, but they include factoring in scores from players who perform well in tournaments and challenge games for credits. We still encourage the community's feedback on Sandbagging, but believe this is an important step to reducing the practice and keeping the game fair.

Finally, most of our top players have posted close estimates for players to try to gauge their progress in advancing tiers. Here is a good thread to read:

Stop playing Blitz and replace it with Stroke-play. That's all there is to it.

Here this may help to ur ? in advancing

     Tiers:

When your average score is equal or smaller than 100 you go from hack to amateur.

When it is equal or smaller than 80 you go from amateur to pro.

When it is equal or smaller than 72 you go from pro to tour pro

When it is equal or smaller than 67 you go from tour pro to Master

When it is equal or smaller than 63 you go from Master to Tour master

When it is equal or smaller than 61 you go from Tour master to legend

When it is equal or smaller than 60 you go from Legend to Tour Legend*

    and

you need to play at least 5 ranked rounds as hack before reaching Amateur

you need to play at least 10 ranked rounds as amateur before reaching Pro

you need to play at least 20 ranked rounds as Pro before reaching Tour pro

you need to play at least 25 ranked rounds as Tour pro before reaching Master

you need to play at least 40 ranked rounds as Master before reaching Tour Master

you need to play at least 50 ranked rounds as Tour Master before reaching Legend

You need at least 500 ranked rounds as Legend before reaching Tour Legend

Also with that note have to play primarily stroke play in order to reduce your scoring average .

    Short, concise and bang on.

Listen to Ms. Fish.  If she tells you there is no hurricane coming you can believe it.

That'll sort the (relative) oldies from the whipper-snappers.

And do it in ranked mode, practice mode doesn't count towards your tier progression and your avg.
