hi all need some advice on a real golfing nightmare im having.

im having a serious issue im shanking all my irons to the right  been doing this for months now hitting my woods sound its just happening on my irons.

ive tried lots of things keeping further from the ball   getting in closer to the ball  flating my swing out nothing working.

when i do hit 1 straight i look at the face on the iron and i can see im striking the ball very close to the hozzle all the time its not coming out of the middle   sweet spot.

this is really starting to pee me right of just wondering has anyone else gone through this  nonsense before aswell and how did you fix it?

    My 2 Pfennig:

Be sure (i.e. check and re-check) that the club sole is parallel to the ground when addressing the ball. I had shanks big time on a track which has an ever-so-slightly side slope to the right. One time I shanked two consecutive SWs into the lake at the right - and over a companion's head!

Only adjusting the club set-up avoids it (if it has any relevance).

Your timing is just messed up. Your hands aren't getting through the ball as fast as your weight shift is. It's like you're dragging the club.

What actually helps me get the right way to swing in order is to think "throw the head of the club at the ball."  In baseball you throw the head of the bat at the ball and to do that you have to snap your wrists at the right time with arms extended. Same thing with your golf swing.

A good exrecise for ur problem is to take 1/2 swings ( and hit a ball )  with YOUR FEET TOGETHER.

Work up to a full swing eventually. If u lose balance during the swing, then that is ur problem.

    Hope it helps
