    Hey guys,

I just wanted to see if I could get some input from you guys concerning my wish to buy new clubs.. I'm currently having

    TM R1 L48 Driver
    TaylorMade R11 3 Wood (L30+)
TaylorMade R11 Iron Set (Steel) (L32+)
    Baby Clevelands 60,75,90 yrd

I actually get along with my set-up just fine, and sometimes I also am lucky enough to shoot a score or two under par. My problem is mostly that I'm longing for a high trajectory iron set..
The more or less non-existing stopping power with the irons has had me thinking for a while whether I should buy the g25s or not, just to get the high trajectory. But I'm also seeing that there will be more irons available for me as soon as I start leveling.

What do you guys think? Would it be wise to dump my r11s now and buy a new set or would a wiser man wait it out for greener grass? Oh, and do the big clevelands make a difference at all? And I would love any advice in general to my current set-up and to a possible future set-up.

    Peace and love,
    distribution

The problem may not be the irons, it may be the ball.  Do you usually play with the free starter one?  If so, that's why you're getting no spin.  Irons that give a lot of spin only work with a ball that will also spin well.  Have a go with something like the L33 Callaway ball and see how you get on.

If you really want new irons I'd wait a while and go for something like the Speedblades at L75, not very far away really.

In all honesty though I think the irons you have will see you through to the L85 Nike irons.

The higher level Clevelands have a lot more spin, at times a bit too much which is why I use the ATV wedges.  They're right between what you have now and the top Clevelands for spin.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

    +10 MM!

As a less expensive entry to custom balls, Tour-SD may be a quality alternative.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback, but I forgot to mention that I've played with the Callaway 33s since "ever", and that I just recently bought a sleeve of Nike lvl40 to see if that would help. I really don't feel any difference between the callaways and the nikes with my irons, and that is also why I made this thread..

If you want to know about the G25 irons specifically, I just got mine a week or 2 ago and I really like them. I also had the R11 irons that you have. If you're worried about the low forgiveness of the G25's, don't be.. the slightly slower meter is great. Long iron shots will stop dead on the green unless there's a lot of elevation.

If you have plenty of credits, go for it.. you'll love them.
