But the game already goes in automatically to get us a new one.  But only if we have another one of the same ball that was lost/worn out.

Losing "last ball" during round I think you meant to say.  So maybe the subject doesn't say it all.  You've been around long enough to know what the answer will be. ;-)

I shuld have put it differently when the give yu a walmart ball that you could go in the bag and get a new sleeve.

You know full well  you have to finish a round with the same type of ball you started with. Be happy they give you a "Walmart" ball instead of DQing you, which is what would happen IRL in a tournament.

under rule 6-7 of the royal &ancient a player may borrow a ball from his opponent it does not state that it is the same ball that it was in his bag to start with so why dont wgt let you use a ball from your itinerary

If the optional 'one-ball condition' under the Rules of Golf is in effect, which it is in WGT. They now give you a warning when you are down to the last ball of that type, so you can buy a new sleeve easily without leaving the game, but in fact you can go to the pro shop anytime during the game and buy more balls.

If you forget to buy new balls and have to finish the round with Walmart balls, I assure you that will happen to you only once!

(In RL I probably buy all my golf balls at Walmart. They have plenty of varieties, but I go for the X-outs or the "pre-owned" balls fished out water hazards. They'll pretty quickly end up in a water hazard again anyway. One day a fellow golf ball at the bottom of the hazard will look up at a new inhabitant and say, "Hey! Haven't I seen you here before?")

the simple fact you can finish with a starter means that the "one ball" rule is NOT in effect . besides what does a ranked round have to do with any tournament ???

its all about more sales , plain and simple ....

Not saying it is a good idea, just the way it is. In real life I don't see how changing balls from one hole to the next (not from tee to green) could possibly matter, but here the differences in balls are dramatic.
