First of all, a big thanks to WGT for giving us plenty of tournaments with enhanced prize pools.  There are three of these available at the moment, and this is very much appreciated.

But have you given any thought to making more of these events multi-round single play?

I understand that unlimited = more ball use.  But do you understand that you're robbing Peter to pay Paul?  I'd venture that most of us play as much as time allows, so if we're grinding out an unlimited, we're not playing a RG, AS, friendly match, weekly, or anything else.

The St.. Andrews event would be a blast if it were 8 daily rounds of 9 hole single play, with all the possible conditions.

We have found that trying to run 24 hour rounds for a number of days in a row is a tough one.  Many players miss a round and the final number of players playing in the last round is significantly smaller then the number that started.  Nice idea but probably not feasible in the format your talking about.

Okay then, four 2- or 3- day rounds of 18.

And not for all of the tournaments...unlimited has its place.   Just saying it would be good to mix it up a little.

If there are players who can't play every day, then so be it.

And it's likely that many of the players who don't finish are not unavailable, but simply choosing not to continue.

With you here...I don't even know if I've posted a Trans america score or not...weeks of unlimited is a tough one on me...now I'm not saying if it was just single play I'd win/be at the top...but I don't have the desire to grind it out for a super low score.

Qualing for the Open is one thing...kinda like it;)...but UL tries in general...kinda puts me off.

I love the idea of single play tournaments.. seems like the more times I try, the harder the course plays anyway so I'm just wasting balls.

Yep.  I probably won't bother with the St. Andrews at all, either.  The VUSO is different, since we're learning a brand new course.

Don't forget, Shoe...many players (correctly) conclude that they have no chance of winning unlimited tournaments and don't play them.

I'd like to see the number of unlimited's increased for TL's, but keep them 9 holes only. 18 holes tourneys should all be limited, IMO. Unlimited's are a gr8 way to practice & add to our course notes.
