Can someone tell when you should concede the putt, and when you shouldn't. in alternate mode.

It seems like whatever I do, my partner gets mad at me.

    Please help

There is no specific answer to this.  Each player has their own preference.  I personally will always concede if the ball is within 3 feet.

    Very friendly, Shoe!

Between a possible advantage over your opposition and friendlyness towards the blokes playing with me, I consider to concede within 3 feet if I can judge it as an easy straight forward putt. Not when I know it's a cracking side-sloping downhill putt!

As Shoe indicated, the concede is a very personal instrument, and a tactical one, too. You're allowed to use psycho-tricks in A/S and single matches!

Therefore, one thing I detest very much is the prior agreement to concede within a certain range. It is at the sole discretion of the conceding player!

If you are playing against your CC Owner, I recommend conceding everything within 6 feet.

    If flat, 3 feet.

    If not flat, 2.5 feet.

If against a CC member, 4 feet.

If against someone that doesn't concede your 1.7 foot putt, never.

Tell your pards to chill their jets, lol.

As you can see above there's a wide range of opinions. Hell, I concede a 10-footer ... if my team is putting for bogey, and opponents have an easy 2-putt for par; why waste the time?

It just depends on the situation, and the call is yours alone.

In a friendly game, which is all games I play.  I concede anything under 3ft. So basically any putt with says 2point whatever.

Except if it's a putt to win the game... then no concedes.

Concedes can also be part of mind games between everybody.  You concede and concede and then stop conceding,  then the other person might just miss that important putt.....lol

Edit.... I should say too, 3ft putts can be hard to sink on a few holes with a fast break... So you basically have to know most of the Greens.

What if my CC owner really stinks at putting?  Should I consider just conceding the hole if he accidentally gets on the green?  Just wonderin'...

I concede always inside 3 feets  and if the opponent don't concede no worries the putts don't use the ball longevity lol

I will concede a 5 footer in MPC  just to lull them on 1st 2 holes..then not the 2.9 ft big breaker on the 5th !!

No set rule if just for fun tho...we all know which 7 ft's are easy and which 3 ft's are not !
