    ncviz:

Another maintenance cycle passes, and still drops this into the sand. I just don't get it guys, maybe you can explain it to me.

I understand your frustration, I do :), but it is already slated to be looked at. So, please be patient :)

Why do problems have to be "slated to be looked at"?  Why can't you guys look at the problems right away and fix them when we bring them to your attention?  Can you explain to us why it take so long?  What is the problem that you can't fix them right away and not 2 months down the road?   We are all getting tired of the answer being "it is slated to be looked at" and " clear your cache"..................a .long time frustrated user

There are several reasons but some of them are these:

    1. There are issues that involve every player on site, such as replay freeze which naturally will have more priority. This only happens to small % of players, on 1 hole and not that often. Yes, we'd love to fix it, but we have to fix some other issues first.

    2. How easy a fix it...sometimes some things are easy to fix and others require alot more consideration. I can't go into details but this particular issue is not as black & white as one might imagine.

Thanks for the reply.  It would be nice if you would say we are fixing other more pressing matters......I have been a user for a long time and it is frustrating that  wgt doesn't inform their member better of what is going on.  Sorry if I came off the wrong way, didn't mean for it to sound that way.

That's np! We are always working on making the overall experience better. The problem is, not everything can be fixed in 1-2 days. Some things require changing how things work in background in a fundamental way. Hence, it takes a while.

Using this as an example: there are certain golf rules that have to be followed when determining the drop position. Coupled with the way hole is laid-out  + distances, flight path of the ball, where it crossed the hazard, etc all of those elements present issues. It's not just a matter of moving the ball 4 yards further to the green.

I don't think it's too complex to have this hole drop it right back on the tee. I understand there could be issues with the way it drops. But dropping back on the tee should be the solution until they can figure out what is going on with where and how it's giving the drop. Even seen the ball put on a tee from 170 something, which is wrong too.

Well, I suppose if I were as good as you, (legend), I would not have ended up with your issue. By the way, what are you doing down in the weeds? 184 yards with 2 ft. down plus 3MPH behind ya, that's a simple solid iron shot. Meter skip?

Yeah, this issue needs to be fixed. i feel like tin cup out there trying to make the ball to the green over & over again.

i don't understand why the drop area was placed in the sand. like who in the right mind would do something as silly as that.  I wonder if it has ever been done?
