Probably not because those are played by 100's of people and this barely gets 20-30 on a good day. I think highest we had so far was around 80...

If we can get 100's of people to regurarly  play these, then I can make a better case for including them in the weekly's

These only get 20 - 30 only because the vast majority of members don't even know they exist. How are you currently letting all of the people who don't come to the forums know when one is coming up?

We don't.  These types of tournaments were really created to give player who visit the forums something special.  I would say if we put them out there on the weekly and monthly rotation, the "fun" would be diminished.  I would say for the time being keeping this to the forums will probably be the route taken.

I think the super fast greens are very welcomed among the UEL players around and I believe also among the regular level players and indeed, I could imagine that many players would enter (I would) tournaments with such greens (not over 30 or even 25).

We appreciate it! I always try these when available, although a few times I have snoozed and losed.

Another thing, if crazy conditions were offered on the main list of tourneys you might get some complaints about, I dunno, lost balls or the like.

Or maybe a special section for the Diehards!

I respect that and thank you for that. It is nice to play in something that has some exclusivity to it.

I was just responding to icon's comment about the number of players hindering taking it mainstream. If you really wanted to take it mainstream the # of players argument can be easily diffused.

    O M G. Round Three.

Have just finished a Brainstorming Session with my Support Team and they have come up with a Plan of Attack as we head into Round 3 at the Pinehurst " Ice Rink.

Firstly to be mentally prepared and tuned in to what lies ahead it is suggested to read "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". These 2 books should cover most hurdles that may present themselves.

    Secondly, Golfing Aids.

    1 x Bottle " Butterscotch Schnapps " and a "Shot Glass "

    1 x Bottle " Valium "

1 x "Funny Hat or Cap " ( I will be wearing my Mickey Mouse Ears ) and a Mirror

2 x Shackles ( 1 for each ankle, Attached to computer chair legs. ) This will help when you feel like running away or causing self inflicted injuries.

    The Plan is simple.

2 x  Valium before Tee Off, I x  shot of Schnapps whenever your lucky enough to land and stay on a green. Prior to each shot have a look at yourself in the Mirror and remember there are other lunatics having a go at this as well,

Green Speed will be a bit of a problem, but, we have come up with  the following formula.

Distance divided by height multiplied by " 42 " divided again by your Birth date and Shoe size. This should get you pretty close if the "Earth Tilt and Gravity " are playing fair.

Hope I've been of some help and good luck in Round 3. ( As If, your gunna need luck )

Have to agree with Srellim on this.  Most players have no idea these tourneys even exist, much less how to enter them.

To be honest, these would probably get more entries than the monthly 18-hole premium if they were included in the main tournament area.  43 TL's have posted scores in the 18-hole premium this month.  Right now, this "hidden" tourney has 39.

Regardless, if these are kept in the forums only, then I can probably live with that.  At least I know where to come and look for them.  :-)

Round 3:  After 8 unsuccessful attempts to stick the green on #1 from < 15 yds out, i gave up.  Y'all have 10+ hours for a round of golf?  I don't.  Have fun!
