    pdb1:
Some people contend that they are not ranked in the count of ranked rounds for the purpose of saturation, tiering up , or averages . Meaning you don't get a round added when played for saturation .

    This!

    pdb1:
This I believe is a gray area and contradicts the definition of ranked .

It is a consensus between the players who have calculated averages in detail. OTOH, the whole matter is gray area because there are no official numbers. The most precise definition in the FAQs is (not verbally), "Bo3 scores do not count in to average calc."

And, they are good in confusing or imprecise wording, thus don't rely on that too much.

See the last quote: It says Bo3, but BDU is excluded as well as Bo5. Speak not of precision, speak not of QA.

    Have fun!

Soon as you do saturate the average plummets like a stone anyway

    ScottHope:
The point at which your score resets will be after your first ranked round as a Master, so if you get a 39 on a nine hole ranked round, your average will jump up to 78! (2 x 39 = 78, as your average reflects a score for 18 holes). So suddenly going from a 66.85 to a 78 is going to be very disappointing, but that's how it works. Your average score is worked out from the scores in your current tier.

    pdb1,

Thank You for digging this up from the nether world (lol). Having just tiered up recently to Master has been rather discouraging to say the least. Felt like one step forward but three steps backward. Will keep 'onward thru the fog' as many have already done.

    Again thanks!

    JZ

                     Try this :-

    • A ranked round is a round played in strokeplay format on any course that is not played in practice mode.

Seems like u don't even understand the difference between matchplay and strokeplay.

There is no grey area, the Par 3 and Par 5 courses count as a ranked round , but not get included in the calculation for average or saturation.

    I give up.

Doesn't get much plainer than that. Nor does the definition of a ranked round-the stroke score shows up in your history.
