congrats to the winners but how amazing that they are all from the north american continent???? what happened to the rest of the world

No conspiracy theory from me - fact is players from the US probably outnumber the rest of the word by a large percentage, so chances are they would be from the US.

But if a player from the UK had won, consider how much in taxes they would be charged on a $500 import.

That said, it is well known players from outside of the US miss out badly, on earning free credits, special tournaments to courses. I still vote to take the W out of the game and call it USGT.

That said, congrats to all the winners

I never said anything bad about it Shoe. Just how amazing it was. After all, you only need to buy 1 ticket to win the lottery :)

    WGTdbloshoe:
Virtual U.S. Open Qualifier Sweepstakes Winner: huskerhammer
Grand Prize: Trip for two to the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay, including airfare, hotel and tickets to attend the tournament as special guests of the USGA. Plus, a $500 gift card to USGAshop.com.

With all due respect WGT - THIS IS WRONG. I totally agree with DAZZA.

WGT needs to change the so called "Random Draw eligibility" policy. We have players in the community that feed this game fist full of money, play EVERY DAY for years, has supported the WGT program, been outstanding members in the community, been through the good and the bad with WGT and then a player with a total # of 80,,,,,,,80 ranked rounds since 2011 who has never played not 1, NOT 1 MP game, who has ZERO friends and who may possibly never log back into the community ever again, wins a trip of this caliber. COME OOOONNN WGT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about transparent,,,lol. Random Draw. Pleeeeeeeease! Again. Just another example to why soooo many veteran players have moved on.

    WGTdbloshoe:
Selection for the sweepstakes is completely random.

IF this is the case, may I ask - do all names go into a hat ?  How does a WGT "Random Draw" work?

I think this a fair and above board question that the community is entitled to know.

    DAZZA501:

Amazing how the winner of the trip hadn't played a single round from the 2012 VUSO up until the 2014 VUSO and has only played 80 total RR's. Certainly picked their moment didn't they :)

Maybe we should all try that, have 2 years off playing this game and see if we can win something when we return ;)

Oh no, wait! If we all did that there would be no game. Got to say it looks a bit suspect but I guess we'll never know.
