I would like to know before I start a game - if someone has far better clubs. Because the advantage they have, make it not interesting to play against. Or introduce a game with a handicap.

What would you do on a real golf course if on the first tee you saw an opponent had better clubs/ball than you had?

What about the social aspect of having an opponent?

A real golf handicap does not factor for clubs/balls, only score.

On WGT a player's scoring average tells you what you need to know.

Hey, Sir Robert---Golly, you luckily joined up just this June --- Welcome ! The game is a toughy, it is for certain: everyone here knows it, and has shared your position. As time goes by, you will enjoy learning to improve, and improve you will, albeit not as quickly as you may wish, and along with that journey, you will acquire and acquaint yourself with many drivers, iron sets, wedges, putters etc, along with upgrades over the course of your tenure. Along with the pleasure of reaction to the vast ball inventory that is at your fingertips. Please don't allow yourself to have a wasted moment upon the level of play or the clubs others are using, nor believe the clubs & balls provide them the better play you may see. They help but, one cannot "buy" a game. Just have fun and give no thought to anything else...especially other players...It isn't worth your thought. ~ SP ~

Better clubs in real golf does not give that much of an advantage. And if so it will reduce the handicap, because in this game - they are much easier to play with. You have meters, reducing speed etc.

Where do you find that in real golf. Can you remenber what happend when ping released the eye2 in golf. What happend? Yes they will get it banned.

The social aspect of having an opponent- in a computer game - for real?

In the third line- if you compare this to real golf - the score in this game gets to much influenced by the gear

The last one is not true - look at the clubs - the sometimes give you 2 as much forgiveness- doe you see that in real golf?- i would start making golfballs and clubs.

The score indicates that someone has far better clubs and balls and therefore its not interesting to play.

o you rally believ what you write-

Or shall we prove it - I play you  one game with standard and one game with fancy clubs

I wil predict who wins the second one

The point is - that a difference llike that in gear  is no fun. If I had the choice that I would have to play against someone with G20 - and therefore with a far better performance I would not play him - and you can not see that up front.

    SirRobert2:
    The point is

Yes. The point. My two favorite rounds here were long ago...as a hack/pro....58 at Kiawah 18, 27 at Kiawah B9...using free clubs & balls...I would play with anyone then. I could learn much while having fun.
