overtheedge: Washington DC is a nice place to visit.
I'm sure there may be some nice places to ive, and for sure I'd love to see many of our coutry's historic stuff...but probably never will.
The thing that prompts me to reply is in the early 80's, at my first job out of school, I met up with a coworker...we got along great and became good frinds...thing is after 4-5 months of him saying "No" we me and the rest of the crew asked if he'd like to join us for beers after work (and we'd had many at each other place)...I asked "Why not head out with us"?
He replied, kinda sheepishly, that the excess money spent at a bar/club, cut into the funds he was saving up for, to get his Mother and two brothers out of DC.
He went on explaining...and also mentioned (to my shock) that they lived within walking distance of the Tourist area.
Kinda set the tone for me...maybe things changed?..I dunno.
Lastly...I'm kinda at wonder here, as no one was bashing the fallen soldiers, yet that was brought up?
Seems to me there has been some selective reading and quick replies.
Any ways, I'll party with them BYU Babes anytime!
