    alosso:
@TS: Bollox' assumptions miss the point IMHO.

Sam has been here a little longer than you and knows somethings that maybe you don't. A few years ago only shots hit off the tee with a driver counted for driving accuracy, driving average and longest drive.

This is the driving stats portion of the score card where I accidentally started a round with no driver or 3 wood.

as you can see all 3 driving stats are at 0% because I didn't hit any shots with a driver. That has changed since then but maybe it still affects driving accuracy

So, you are more in defense than Bollox, I guess ;)

When was that scorecard taken? (Date, and situation in the game)

Before posting the above, I started a round with 3WD and saw that the average was zero after holing out at the first (which I knew before), but driving length had a number, as well as FW hits. They count regardless.

FW hits is the subject - any thoughts of that?

I seen somewhere in the forums that only a long drive counts as long drive with the driver but like alosso says a FW hit is a FW hit regerdless of the club(or should be imo)

and again none of my FW hits was from any other club than the driver

EDIT you get a % and a check for iron or 3 wood off the tee guess since I'm bored I'lll retry the whole round and maybe see which hole doesn't work lol

    TopShelf2010:

Thanks for all your comments guys regarding using various clubs off the tee.  I was confused after reading the comments. It would not make sense to only count the Driver as there are cases where I choose to use the 3W, let alone the fact that there are many Par 3's where an Iron is the club of choice.

I have never really paid attention to the results off the tee. Maybe I will go out and experiment to see the results first hand. All I ever noticed was the Check Marks and not looked at the Stats.

Par 3 , 3 iron hit the green , no fairway hit .... it wouldn't count TS2010 m8 , maybe this is why its not 100%

the par 3's don't count towards the DTP TS just GIR's ( nor FW hits % )

I guess they changed that too. Because it used to count as a missed fairway if you punched your driver on a long par 3 like #11 at RSG and didn't stop on the green.

This score card was from early summer 2010.  It was a monthly unlimited tourney at St. Andrews. The situation was I had just finished a CTTH round with my CTTH set-up being iron set, putter and 5 optional wedges and forgot to change back. I was too stubborn to quit so I played the entire 18 hole round with that set-up.
