Once more, wgt means well but does things without
thinking them through properly. now don't get me wrong,
It's fine to have that option for no extra charge as a benefit,
but to come in and unilaterally change it without owners having a say in it
is a very stupid move. some clubs choose to remain small,
and having wgt changing their membership slots
because they think it's cool not to give ppl a choice about it
will create all sorts of issues, like applicants challenging
the predetermined membership limit, for example
if a cc was always a 50 members club, and now has 75 openings
it would seem unfair for an applicant to be declined based on
the reason that all 50 slots are filled, when he can see there are 25 empty ones.

also as the number of slots get bigger with time,
it would give the false appearance that a club is struggling to recruit,
if it only has 50 out of 250 slots filled.

this is a nice benefit and all, but to impose this on CCs
without giving them a choice to decide on their own capping limit
is beyond stupid and needs to be rectified asap.

They are not imposing anything on you. Just because you have more slots does not mean you have to fill them. The CC owner has always had the power to decline membership to anyone. We also have a small, but active CC, nothing has changed in any way except the ability expand membership IF we wish to.
