    ITS A jOKE

My bag is currently eqiupped with the following and i feel really annoyed as the clubs i have been using arent good enough anymore due to the extra yardage off legend tees.

Rapture V2 Pro Driver - slow meter & 255 yards

    Rapture V2 Pro 3 Wood - slow meter & 230 yards

    Rapture V2 Pro 2 Hybrid - slow meter & 215 yards

    Rapture V2 Pro Irons - slow meter & 200-110yards

    Z Satin TP Pro Wedges 58 & 64 -   quick bar, 86&50yards

Begineer Putter - nice and slow :-)

    WGT Tour S Balls - 2 spin, 1 distance, 1.5 durability, 0 feel

so it means i have to buy new clubs & new balls costing me around 3000-4000 Credits and what do WGT give you for going to Legend Tier 200 credits what a joke just about enough to buy 3 Legend balls and just to make things worse the clubs that i need are locked cause im only level 57

as well as i could use these clubs to get to Legend status been playing off these further legend tees and firing 3 Woods 2 Hybirds in to greens aint right its a just joke

    CharlemagneRH:
Since the PGA Tour only counts 30+ yard approach shots, includes shots that don't even make it onto the green, and if they count drivable par-4 tee shots, and two-shot-reachable par 5's in their formulas, which they might, then all of that could throw the figure way off from how WGT probably determines it (which is most likely based off of the first shot to hit the green or the result of the par-2 shot.)

I'd be willing to bet that a PGA Tour 30-ft distance-to-pin (DTP) is about the same as an 18-ft DTP here on WGT.  Just look at their GIR percentages.  They're 65-72%.  If you go look up someone with a 30-ft DTP here on WGT, their GIR is more like 45%.  WGT's DTP method is much, much kinder to us than the PGA Tour's method is to PGA Tour players.

Update: I just had my best BPB B9 round ever, and here are the stats:

    63.65 total distance putts made
    7.7 (alleged) average DTP
    GIR: 8/9
    Putts Per Hole: 1.0

On every single hole, I putt exactly once.  These stats do not include, for example, a sunken approach shot and a 2-putt on another hole in order to get back to 1.0 putts per hole.  That means my real AVG DTP, as opposed to WGT's calculated DTP, was 63.65 + the DTP of the failed GIR attempt (minus what was left after the pitch, which would be included in the 63.65 figure.)  The DTP on the hole where I missed the green (#17) was 15 yards, or 45 ft, and I pitched it 5 ft long, and that 5-ft putt would have been included in the 63.65 figure.

In other words, my DTP stat should have been (63.65+40)/9, or 11.52.  Obviously something about WGT's DTP stat is wrong and can't be compared to the PGA Tour's AVG DTP stat.

people ,this is fantasy golf.wgt isnt shooting for realism,a good example is the  different type of balls!you dont see a ball in tigers bag that gives him more spin and distancei also have had to play tour masters with identical averages as myself and i haVE TO SPOT THEM 30 YARDS A HOLE.HOW IS THAT LEVELING THE PLAYING FIELD? wanting a 285 driver is not an unreasonable  request          E

you have way  too much time on your hands..if you spent more time enjoying the game and less time  stat hunting then maybe you could elevate your game.otherwise your just a flat-lining nerd!!just kidding---don't take this game so literal.....its a virtual game guy!Damn

WGT seems to figure distance to the pin by literally looking at where your ball lies the first time it rests on the green, even if you got it close only because you missed the green on your approach shot and then chipped it close. (Give or take shots holed out--not sure if that are counted as zero or what.)

This is different from the PGA calculation, which is based on the approach shot, wherever it lands (on or off the green). The approach shot--unlike WGT--excludes shots from around the green (i.e. from within 30 yards).

It is based on this calculation that, as I've pointed out before, the very best PGA player on this stat has an average DTP of about 30 feet--10 yards, which no decent WGT player would be thrilled with.

Long story short: WGT irons are way too accurate.

I'd blame the massive differences in DTP/GIR calculations for the discrepancies between WGT and PGA DTP/GIR stats.  If we had to deal with PGA Tour DTP/GIR calculations, our stats wouldn't be that much above the stats of real-life tour pros.

I dont know what all of the complaining is about, I am not the best player on the site but I am a legend.  The longer shots make the game fun IMO, I just wish like in RL the clubs all reflected correct distance based on skill not meter speed.

In RL I can hit most drivers 275 and its does not matter if they are more forgiving or not.

Hey I can see why the legends would want a longer driver. I set-up a CC tourney @ BPB. for Starter clubs and balls only. I played from the master tees with the 225 starter driver. I couldn't reach the green in regulation with even my 3 wood on # 4 # 7 and sometimes #9. And I was hitting either a 3 iron or a hybrid on # 1 and # 2. And the legends probably have to do this even if they are using the new 280 yard TM R9.

I doubt this is the case. See beth front nine rgs, the winner is usually 28.
