  That's interesting, but I think I may know why it is. May. I know many play mostly 9 hole rounds trying to score that magic 30 that will drop averages and move players up faster than if you play mostly 18 holes, as I do. What I know for certain, is that the  averages in my stats at this moment, in no way, reflect my averages in certain areas over the past 3-4 months.

  Long since saturated here so my numbers are silly anyway.  AFAIK though 18 counts same as 9 for saturation purpose at least any. Once saturated things can only go down average score wise anyway.

  Stats I do think are worth looking at if there is an issue with score history.  Raw fliipin gauge the way WGT do the stats, but still well worth looking at and commenting on IF someone has an issue as reflected by a poor score history.  Score history is what really counts although even that is fraught with problems for many reasons.  Provided advice (opinions) is given respectfully to genuine concerns it's all useful......

  Not disagreeing with you just that IMO even WGT stats can still be just about worthwhile looking at.

   I wish they could sort them out properly though.  I would love to look at how I played say last week or week before, just for amusement.  Still no $s in that though, and I am not getting excited and neither am I bothered keeping my own for this amusement (game).

  V E M = Very Erratic Meter? if so then that explains all those super fast meters that I get right after I ding a shot.

  Just one person.

  To me the statistic that matters the most  is being a clutch player.

  Now THAT is worthwhile stat.

  The person who can drain a bending 7 foot putt with the game on the line.

  Now that is impressive.

  If they were done properly I think you might find many would.  As it stands it's all next to useless though.

  I would like to track my own play.  Only an amusement and no "$s tomorrow" in it for WGT that I can think of so not getting excited, and as say don't care enough to keep my own for a game which is most of all just a fun side line:)

  Since I'm not sure what you are unsure about on what I said, I'll try to answer your question best I can. All I meant was I see it posted often where a remark is made on someone's stats, like a putting average being terrible, but those stats, at least mine, do not reset as you move up.

  I was confused as it seemed I said something you saw often and had to challenge.  You then go on to say pretty much the same as I did, in the post you quoted, about averages. As I also said there yours are similar to mine.

  But I know of many people who "pad" their averages by :

  1) playing the same easy course over and over 

  2) Creating club tourneys using the red tees.

  My point still is averages means little to me.

  Actually pointless.

  I still maintain that a true elite player is the individual who shines under pressure...

  not  caring to impress with lofty averages.

  that is what makes any sport interesting

  So many different point of views.

  Neither is right 

  or wrong.

  Fair comment, just missed that bit.

  Would help others help others maybe a bit more too, but mainly the one person.  

  Agree some pad their stats in an amazing manner, but who cares.  If a 71% one putt floats their boat and BoF does not bore them to tears over and over let em, lol.

  My views on how to solve that are elsewhere, but some like it.................

  The whole thing is funny actually . I have sat back and watched the trolls put their best effort into taking this thread off of its course . About 2 years ago now is when WGT admitted to the VEM / deviation and how it is used . As I stated earlier , if you would use the search box to the right >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and type in VEM , players would pull every thread on this subject .Its just that simple , no rocket science needed.

  So dont let the troll disclaimers get any of you bent out of shape . Also if you want to learn how it affects your game , go play practice rounds and use the mulligan feature. Also use the starter ball so as not to waste a good ball . You have to not only learn how to play the game , but also how the game plays. There is more to it than just hitting the ding and the deviations are more than just shots going long or short .

  So for those of you who have advanced quickly up the tiers , its time to retrace your steps and relearn the game . You will find out just how much you have not only missed , but are also still missing when it comes to this game . Good luck to those who will listen and are willing to learn . You will find a better game down the road because you will have a better understanding of how it all works . Hope this helps . :-)

  I've been saying that VEM doesn't happen much but the level of difficulty to shoot under 30 these last 3 days is about 9.9/10.  With the exception of a random 25 thrown in I feel like I'm playing with a whiffle ball just flying everywhere and the hole is the size of a needle.  Normally this bad play would stop after a day at most but this just won't quit.  No idea what to even think anymore.
