  Tell me how can a legend with G20 driver and wgt balls out drive a legend with a BIG BERTHA and nike $7.50 balls Unbelievable...WHY BUY THE BEST BALLS AND CLUBS....***.

  Don't make any allowance for player skill.

  Subtle placement of the Spin adjustment can add yards to a drive, as can landing the ball on a down slope.

  A few extra yards on a drive is not going to make a huge difference to anyones game, what will make a big difference is the attributes on that ball you have. The range of shots you can make going from full topspin to full backspin with that Nike ball is enormous compared to the wgt rock.

  Can you give any more details?

  e.g. what was the wind power (approx.) and direction?

  'Skill level', wherever that is indicated, can also affect the equipment's variables.

  Generally, if the legend w/ the G20 and wgt ball hits into a frontwind with the right amount of top spin, and the legend w/ the BB and extra distance balls hits into the same front wind with back spin (higher traj. because of BS, and more distance UP in the air because of the ball) then the frontwind can blow the drive and keep it from going very far.

  Not to say that this is what happened, but that's one way that 'a legend with G20 driver and wgt balls out drive a legend with a BIG BERTHA and nike $7.50 balls'
