I've actually never played a practice round, so I have no clue about certain factors - one of which is XP.  All other things equal, do you get more XP from a practice round over a ranked round, less, or the exact same?  I was just wondering.

Sightly more if you take mulligans, as they counts toward ball hits.

Don't you get like 1 point for a hit though?

I think you get the most, generally, for a tourney. I would enter a unlimited tourney and buy the xp boost. Then, if I could, I'd time it out so I would start a round beore the last drop ran out then it lasts the whole round.

I think the 18 hole rounds gave more xp than, say, two 9 hole games.

Par 3 CC tourney games were fast and I've played many of those w/ xp boost.

Yea, but it is practice and I take a lot of mulligans. Aim for trouble and try pitch, punch and flop. On the greens I like to putt it around to see how the green rolls too.

18 holes, ranked or practice: 200 XPs

9 holes, ranked or practice: 95 XPs

    Double XPs for tournaments.

    3 holes practice: 30 XPs

    1 hole practice: 0 XPs

1 point per stroke, granted immediately.

plus the shots and or mulligans you take it adds up to more xp during practice this way

playing a 18 hole tournie would be the best way to get xp points and the fastest

Mulligans were excluded by "All other things equal".

I agree to 18 hole tourney for an eager player.

OTOH, the least time consuming way to collect XPs is the CDP:
Three holes, 10 minutes, 910+ XPs.

not when the xp points come into play they aren't

for 1 you can take 15 shots per hole in practice not in stroke play then add mulligans and the xps go up far ( it dont kill your stats and can use the rock ball )

good thing to know if you have never played a practice round as the OP has not

There are more chances of crashes with practice mode, which is a pain if you are using a pass, as it disappears.
