I find this new XP points Leaderboards mis leading. Why should those clubs with the most members get the most points. My CC Freedom Fields currently lie in around 49th place in the Leaderboard list but if you divided the points by the number of members  we would currently be in 2nd place. Why cant they average it out to points per member surely this would be a fairer way of doing things. Otherwise for those clubs wishing to stay at 50 members they will start to lag behind when in theory they have better activity than the big numbered clubs

    Just my opinion

Here to be shot down in flames

Just disregard this leaderboard. It's unfair to small clubs and - IMHO - just another trap for players - CC members - to invest in the game (passes, balls for members, %% boni and tourneys). There's only one beneficiary.

    It's a business, isn't it?

Also i wish they would put the *buy a pass* on the left side. Very easy to make a mistake and give away 37 credits.

Agreed Bobby, as a club sitting each week in the mid 30s with about 70-80 members (SEL), it is misleading, generally, those with more members will always "shine" on top.

Personally, I don't want a massive club, could get unmanageable, more focussed on active players which we have currently.

Onwards we go.....a nice idea, but needs tweaking I feel.

The main issue in Bobby's OP is the unfairness of the list.  A simple total accumulation by WGT of XP's (regardless of membership count and participation) is not fair nor does it reflect the actual individual membership involvement.  It has absolutely nothing to do with WGT making money from XP pass sales or other incentives.

Every stat for a PGA player is a average of past performance in a given area, i.e. average putts per round, average drive distance, average sand save %, etc.  But, when it comes to  the top 125 money list, the PGA simply amasses the total for the season with no regard to the number of tournaments played...cut made or not.  There would most definitely be a shake up in the list were a average incorporated.  Who is the "better" pro...the one who plays in 20 tournaments and earns $3,000,000 or the pro that plays in only 10 and earns $2,000,000?  One averages $150,000 per, the other $200,000 per.  A average is the only fair way.

I track the top 40 (or so) CC Cumulative CC XPs once a day (or thereabouts).

With the info I have I could break it down into say 5 categories and list them:

    Very Small CCs (1-50 members)

    Small CCs (51 - 100 members)

    Medium CCs: (101 - 150 members)

    Large CCs: (151 - 200 members)

    Very Large CCs (201 - 250 members)

Now if I can do that....

Well lets just say that WGT could do it easier :-)

Totally agree with every post here so far.

An average that is relevant to both the amount of XP points AND the size of the membership is the ONLY way to get a true reflection of a CC's success in this area.

    Lmao Paul!

Using the simple formula of dividing the number of members into the amount of XP points, the Leaderboard for the Level 8 CC's would go from this....

    To this......
