I've played a few hundred rounds of real golf and I've never seen anyone walk off the course and go home after a bad shot. With WGT,I like ranked stroke play with those of about the same level. If I'm not having a good round,I finish it anyway, because I signed up to play 9 holes, not 3 or 4.Almost every round has at least one selfish clown that takes their ball and goes home before the round is complete.99.9% of the time they are Americans.    These pathetic losers should be given a bogey for each hole they miss,to discourage wimping out to protect their stupid scoring average that's a lie anyway....and like anybody cares.WGT should fix this to sustain and protect the quality and integrity of their game.

You sir, are a man after my own heart.

    I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I hope the next opponent who quits, their next bowel movement is a hedgehog.

Something needs to be sorted quick, the latest trend I've noticed is...quitting after three shots on last hole, guess what? they get a birdie because I finished the game and they only took three shots.

Howi,  you've been here nearly a year and you're just now figuring all this out, aye?

...And that slur against Americans reminds me of this guy I used to know.  Mr. Ron was his name, Morris Ron.  We used to call him "Mo" for short.  Yep!  Good ol'  Mo Ron, aye!

    1) I just started to play these types of games recently.

    2)  It wasn't a "slur" or "against" anyone. It was simply an observation of a fact. The only people who could change that percentage are the people themselves who comprise that group.

    3) I also presented a possible solution to the problem that would discourage the interruption and destruction of other player's games.I didn't see anything to help resolve this in your post,so I can only assume that you have chosen to be part of the problem.

Approximately 100 threads and 5000 posts on this issue. We all hate quitters but your just going to have to accept it. NOTHING will change.

(The only reason why you've noticed American quitters is because most players on this site are American)

Nonsense; you never need to accept any deficiency; instead, you can go ahead and eliminate it.

The quitters issue can be conclusively resolved by implementing reputation tracking.

I thought it was agreed you could never eliminate quitting entirely and reputation tracking would reduce it but its main benefit is allowing one to determine ahead of time if the person who signed up to play is a frequent quitter.

Yes, Andy, and I call what you described in so many words, "conclusively resolving the quitters issue".

The bottom line is, it will allow everyone to avoid quitters, and we don't ask for anything more.

I agree it needs to be stopped and reputation tracking is a good way of reducing quitting. But it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon. As I have mentioned many times quitting is an epidemic but sadly wgt are being bombarded with other trivial issues and won't be adopting reputation tracking any time soon.
