Recently I have lost 4 balls over the past 2 weeks, which is very high for me. Has anybody else recently noticed this since the last update.  Meter stutter causing out of bounds, water shots etc.

Most of the time meter stutter is down to your PC, internet or browser. Cache clearing is a good idea too.

Yes I know that but since the last update it seems my meter stutter as been worse. Tried several browsers and cleaning everything but it seems that the meter is not as smooth. Like I said until 2 week ago I lost only the odd ball but 4 in 2 weeks at this rate my enjoyment of the game will have to end.

    Is it?

I had a mediocre computer with windows 7 and almost a flawless meter. Now i have a very good computer with windows 8 and btw still the same fiberglass internet 100 mb connection.

My meter has been not that crappy since a long time. And yes I clear cache on a regular basis

remember to clear both browser and flash !

playing in full screen is better for my meter too.

I think it's funny how the stuttering always seems to happen during putting and always during a birdie shot, never it seems during a par shot..... and why is it that you can be off the mark on a par shot and still make it.... but have to be perfect on a birdie shot and still sometimes not make it.....  And i don't wanna hear ohhhh it's your computer, I have a top of the line computer that doesn't  have any issue's only with this game.....

The problem is not the computer, more likely it's your perception of events...

I have been playing for a few years now--I use high end balls---what in the f is WGT trying to pull. High end balls---when in red ' ball is almost done you can hit it in any direction.  Take the  4th or 5th swing on a brand new ball and gone in the trees in the water for no friggin reason at all .  This is 4 th time in 2 months3rd time in 2 weeks..  All this time and hardly a ball gets lost---all of a sudden increase in lost balls   WTF WGT^  sorry mispeslled it the second time

Do people REALLY believe there is some "master plan" by WGT to relieve them of balls?

WGT can't even get the basic game play right! Their programmers are struggling with coding problems day in, day out. (Invites, dot speeds, green speeds etc to name just a few of the recent ones)

To imagine that WGT's programmers have the finesse to write complex code that makes players lose expensive balls after a few strokes, or make certain putts somehow harder to hit than others is just unimaginable.

What is far more likely, IMHO, is that we all get a tad more nervy hitting the birdie putt than we do hitting the usually much shorter par putt, and that is the reason we "appear" to fail more often; likewise with the shot along the tree line, or over the water with a new ball.

No, WGT may be responsible for a lot of things in this game, but being that clever just ain't one of them ;-)

I find it amazing that you still believe this.  Just recently WGT had an update that totally destroyed most peoples meters.  Lo and behold, WGT made a coding change and they became usable again.

I believe the terminology that you were referring to is Fiber optic , not fiberglass.
