In all honesty, I don't get the above comments. WGT is a business, and any business only survives by making money. I can't believe there's anybody who seriously thinks it would be a good business move to allow users cashing in WGT credits. Likewise I strongly doubt that users would spend their cash revenues on "WGT fan items"...at least it is a far too risky option to pursue from a business point of view.
Don't forget that WGT offers this game for FREE...the revenue has to come from somewhere!
Actually, I have to believe that most of the credits cycling through the system have either been brought in from someones personal bank account, or done through the surveys that are offered. Other than the 8 or so free tourneys each week, WGT doesn't regularly hand over free credits to people. When I take 90 credits from someone in a MPC, my guess is that I just took a buck from that guys wallet...not WGT.
Personally, I'm to the point where the credits from recent MPC's (the last 2-3 weeks or so) could start to pile up. I'm pretty much breaking even in RG's. I'm now adding anywhere from 800-1200 credits per week to my account. I already have great gear, a nice avatar, and can buy golf balls unitl I'm blue in the face. At my current pace, I would have like 30,000 credits in my account 6 months from now.
Now, I'm a realist and understand that TM is probably not too far away for me, and with that comes a period of adjustment and slowing my credit accumulation for a bit. But I will eventually figure that out. Then comes Legend...with another period of adjustment, in which I will eventually get that worked out with enough practice and work. I can see that in my future which means I can see a greater increase of credit earnings in my future.
What I would like to see, is an outlet for the credits. The ability to purchase items at a lower credit cost. Like Jake said, golf balls, hats, T-shirts, ect. We already have the ability to purchase expensive items...there's even a car for 70 million credits. If I can buy a car, why can't I buy a box of balls. If I could buy my balls here with credits that I most likely took from someone elses' bank account...instead of the clubhouse...trust me I would.
How about we break the gift cards down incrimentally. Add lower dollar gift cards for lower credit amounts. $250 Gift Card = 162,000 credits, this is already in the elite collection, so why not try:
- $125 Gift Card = 81,000 credits
- $50 Gift Card = 33,000 credits
- $25 Gift Card = 16,200 credits
This would actually increase the money circulation through WGT...and I don't care what business you own, having more money circulate is a very good thing. That's all I have for now.
Good Golfing,
