Because my putting sucks so bad, because I had some "found" money, because I am addicted to this game and because I am impulsive, I recently purchased the Nike Method putter. Knowing full-well that reading the greens and figuring the line and transiting Venus with Mars is the only way to become proficient in putting, I was getting very close most times on approaches, say 3-9 yds away. I thought my near misses might become more cup-bound with a higher-level flat stick than the one I had been using. (Lv 35 Ghost). After thirty seconds worth of intense comparison shopping (please note the sarcasm), I decided the Nike was the way to go. Fail.
For me, the club just feels dead. I don't like it, after using it for about 90 holes over the weekend, I decided to revert to my old putter.
Here's the thing; I don't want to sell it back at the pro shop for less than half of what I paid for it, which was considerable, all things being equal. I also don't really want the thing hanging around. I would rather gift it to a deserving player who may have a different set of skills to me, and find the club useful. I don't want to be a shill in this either, and end up giving the club to someone who maybe could have bought it themselves. So I am calling on some of the people whose posts I follow regularly on here to help me out. Maybe you folks can direct me to someone who could use this club. I am thinking of people such as DaddysKat, Jimbog1964, YancyCan, PaulTon, SweetiePie, Andyson, and a lot of the other regulars. All of you strike me as genuine, and people who both respect the game and have a firm grip on reality. Any suggestions on whom to gift this club?
