After years of trouble free performance, my streak has ended.

Because of some unexplainable system conflict, I can not longer play Skins, Match or Alt shot.

Otherwise, the game seems to function normally.  I can play single and multiplayer stroke games.  Tournaments are OK too.

In a nutshell, the shot timer (clock) never loads and neither does the option to concede putts.  The latter causes the game to crash once my playing partner putts.

I have uninstalled my WGT dedicated browser (Comodo Dragon) and Flash, reinstalled a new browser and Flash, numerous times.  Tried Maxthon 3 and Firefox.  Nothing fixes it.

I wrote to WGT and got a response, but other than "we'll look into it," they were no help.

So I'm just about to give up.  Thought I'd give it one more try to see if anyone can offer a possible fix.  Or just a clue, so I can Google a possible solution other than a new computer!

    Thanks

Here is a screen grab of a Blitz game.  Note the missing shot timer and the loading status, even though the player has hit his shot and the ball is in mid flight.

Got the same response (or lack of) from previous requests for help.  Seems like I have stumped the panel with this one.

I need someone from the Geek Squad!

Here is a screen grab of a recent match play game.  No shot timer (my playing partners can't see it either) and I could not concede my opponent's putt.  That is him putting.  He does take a stroke, but the ball DOES NOT MOVE and it is at that point that the game crashes.  I also lose the ability to chat at that point.

As a long time customer and all the money I have sunk into this game, I'd appreciate a little more technical support from WGT.

Come on, nobody can give me a hint?

What are the first things to look at after browser reinstall and updating flash?

    Direct X?  Updating video drivers?

I have always found writing to wgt helped.

You are writing to the forum ! not that helpful, and not the same thing !

But you might get lucky here!

Direct x and video drivers are useless here ,

This game is all flash based.

Write to wgt to help out ! they have staff waiting for your question.

p.s full screen or not ?

    Hi 8802,

Uncheck 'Hardware Acceleration' in Adobe Flash Player Settings window.

If you're using any version of Firefox, uncheck 'Use Hardware Acceleration When Available' in the options menu.

You may have a bad video card driver. If you were able to replicate the problem with other browsers, the problem may lie within your computer.

What you describe seems to be a video rendering issue. There could be any number of things that will cause this.

Maybe share your computer specs and someone can offer more information to your problem.

Make sure you aren't blocking 3rd party cookies 8802

It seems to me you aren't allowing all information to be downloaded or you may just have a corrupt file.

HERE is a link to the tools to completely remove Flash and Java completely from your system and instructions on installing earlier versions, also  some of the more popular browsers.

    Hope you get things sorted

    Richard4168:

Thank you all for the advice.  This is more than I got from WGT.  They did respond, but it was clear they did not give my issue much thought.

So, I did disable Hardware Acceleration and lo and behold, I just played a Blitz game and the shot timer returned!!  I have yet to play a match game, but this is a very good sign.

I don't ever recall changing this setting.  Isn't having it enabled preferred or the default?  I am wondering how having it disabled may affect performance, but it played fine.

If any of you have anything to add, please do.
