    ZioMio:

Please tell me, which should be the starting point for "no selection"? Driver? Wedge? Putter? Only one choice for all situations!

Yes, with no club. It could be displayed with no club in the avatar's hand until a club is selected, then when the shot type is select, the avatar takes the proper address position.

    Exactly!

So, in your imagination there's a "no club" space in the clubs matrix, and while accessing the club with the mousewheel, we have to scroll through a whole bunch to arrive at - say - 7 iron. This smells like many errors...

And, we'd have to access the shot type with the mouse & 2 clicks for each and every shot - looks like a nuisance to me, because the erroneous short game selections bug me enough.

    *shrugs*

    My proposal is unchanged,

    - select the next available length + full shot all the time, except on the green,
    - select putter with the next available scale on the green.

    Period.

Auto Caddie Kill Switch - IT'S TIME.

      • no smaller dots on putting grid
      • no annoying shot/putt pal shiny button up in your face
      • no "alternative" meters that no one uses..EVER
      • no robotic creepy hand clapping

you want ACTUAL REAL request? well here it is folks.
for 4 years now, people have been ASKING, BEGGIN', PLEADING
to have an auto caddie OFF switch - so do THAT, before all the other
annoying features no one asked for.  -thank you.

    Let's relax everybody.

It's a Lesson we all learn eventually.  Look at what club the Caddie gives us. Sometimes he/she gives us the wrong one,  then we just throw em in the lake so they don't make the same mistake again.....lol

Most of time the clubs shown are pretty good. After shot calculations you might have to change.

On Fringe putting is another thing. You have to look at what scale you are on

Can we atleast get an option to set our putter at a default power?  Meaning that the same distance will come up each time we putt and will be up to use to change it.  I've never understood why I would be given a 20ft scale for a putt under 4ft.

I found it helpful to sit down with some paper and write all your clubs down with their full yardage, 95% and 90%.  I have punch shots for the wedges written down at 100%, 90% and 80%, and pitch/chip for the wedges at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.  Also I have all the green speeds at 5ft increments up to 50'.  Fills a 1/2 sheet of 8" X 11" paper.  A few days of playing practice rounds will give you the putting numbers, and you'll learn to adjust pitch/chip to the various green speeds.  The pros know how far they hit all their various shots, we should know this also.
