    Hi All,

I just thought I might start this thread for a bit of fun, also to see how the averages run out overall, from players of all levels!

If you add your club speed (mine = 3.5) to your ball speed (mine = 3.5) result (7)

This figure suits me personally but I know some who prefer faster and still score well and some prefer slower!

Like I say, just a bit of fun!

    Peace and Happy Golfing!

    clubs = 3.5  ball = 2

I am not sure if it is a preference, but it is what I have.

    Driver, 3W & wedges 3.5

                                Irons  3

                              Putter  4.5

                                 Ball   0

    So does that equal 11?

Only if you have one each in your avatar's hands when hitting the ball...

    Mine is

    Driver + wedges 3 + 2.5 (ball) = 5.5

    irons 3.5 + 2.5 = 6

    Putter 4.5 + 2.5 = 7

Note to myself: I should hit more dings on putting!

Interesting. After a check, I found evidence that points to 7.5 as the best number for me

My ball is always the same at 4.0

    D - 3 wood is at 3.5

    irons are at 3.0

    wedges are at 4.5

    putter is at 4.5

    My best ding clubs are D & 3 wood @ 3.5+4.0=7.5

My irons at 3.0 are just slightly fast, a pixel perhaps

The wedges are OK with added focus

The Putter I view different and it is perfect because I use a combination in pixel hits of early-ding-late

so. I must vote for 7.5 as my best fit   ~ SP ~

Timing is a big topic w/ me. I've been drumming since '78 so tempo, beats-per-minute and polyrhythms , etc. interest me.

Anyway, I mix and match clubs on occasion e.g G25 L59 (meter 4) and both Nike irons (3 & 3.5 meter) and I test out balls usually w/ 2.5, 3, 3.5 sometimes 4, and generally I like a total meter speed between 6 - 7. Too slow of a meter IMO may be unrewarding, I've noticed.

    Examples:

    Cally 37 ball (2.5) plus Nike 85i (3.5) = 6

    Nike 61 ball (3.5) plus Nike 97i (3) =  6.5

If I have the extra free credits to burn one day I'd like to couple my Nike 97 & Cleves w/ a new driver and 3w with matching meter speeds of 3:

    TaylorMade R11S 9.0 Driver (L94+) 284yd

    TaylorMade R11S 3 Wood (L95+) 240yd

    Nike 97s

    Cleveland Wedges

(plus a good matching ball w/ at 3.5 meter, I don't think there is a ball with 3)

    ----

I wanted to get the ATVs (3.5) to match my favs, the Nike 85, (which would match the top drivers & 3W with 3.5) but I haven't had luck w/ the ATVs so I gave that dream up.

    ------

I find it important to get the pace of the meter by swinging once without hitting, as I posted a while back:

I always try one swing before I try another and hit it. On the first 'waggle' I set the power and let go and say to softly to myself 'boom' (then the meter gets to just around the ding) and I again say 'bamm'.

    I digress, time's up!

Interesting! Timing as a big issue with me as well! I am a DJ by profession and mixing is something I consider to be an art form! Some days on here though, nothing seems that consistent!

I like the 3.5 slow meter level one Cally's They give me a comfortable 2 count meter speed (combined with 3.5 meter clubs) of 7 Other days 7 is far too slow for me and I have to revert to 2.0 faster balls which work out to total 5.5! For these I use a 3 count and seem to hit more dings!

Nice to hear your thoughts and thanks for taking the time and going to great lengths as you did! Is all noted!
