Yea that sounds pretty sick wonder when the PGA is gonna adapt that rule.I can just see ie now."Sorry Tiger even though you and phil tied he shot better than you on the last six holes so you lose".Sounds like a simple case of we make the rules up as we go,or maybe even a case of the big fish in the pond worried that another fish is gonna get bigger.whats even funnier than that is how many other ties I've seen and they aint splittin them up.But I guess I'll just look at it like I get the last laugh being the fact that I'm not the only sore one after all.Nice rules I guess it's true It's really not who you know.....

    sorry

Those have been the rules since the beginning of this Beta, last fall.  I've been on the winning and losing ends of those tiebreakers, it's just the way it works.  Don;t blame the system though, the rules have been there for everyone to read.

Every tie for 1st has been that way.  One person wins, the others get 2nd.  If you don't want to read the rules that's fine, but don't complain about someone making up rules as they go along.  It's just not the case, and if you'd read them all along, you'd know that by now.

Best way to beat the tie-breaker?  Shoot a better score.  End of story.

Not to mention that it is actually a very common way of conducting a tie-breaker at a local club level, because after all who wants to go back out after being on the 19th hole for a couple of hours, I know I wouldn't play as well *hic* =)
